baron silas greenback
I was fixing up the pretty shonky remote central locking on my Lupo and I found a stray plug that branches off from the loom along with the wiring for the Hazard Light switch and Heated Rear Screen. I assume its for another switch or something but does anyone know for sure? I can't find any good handbook pictures so I'm not sure. I'm thinking maybe it could be adapted to wire in a USB socket. So really I'm wondering what it was intended for and whether chopping off the plug would be a disaster. Thanks, danny
lupogtiboy
I would hazard a guess that its for a OE cd player, looks like part of the loom to power it...
jparkes43
Is that going to be in all spec cars? i need a place to take a switched 12 volt source in my E1.4 around that area. James

jon_273
Illumination loom for the factory CD player. Not all Lupo's have it.
baron silas greenback
Hmm yeah I will put a multimeter to it (not sure how it works but hey!) Its a fairly small plug so CD illumination sounds favourite, maybe too small for a switch perhaps? Looks like a good candidate for a powering a USB twin socket though!
