I am pretty sure 99 % that GTI tailgates are also steel. its only doors, wings and bonnet that are alloy. mickster Posted May 9, 2016 Report Share Posted May 9, 2016 Yeah I'm sure the GTI boot is steel. Mine has holes cut for the spoiler and the spoiler has two bolts, but I'm not 100% sure that's how they are supposed to be since my spoiler is from a doner car (we found this out when removing to fix the brake light!), so they might have bodged it rather than regluing! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
