Heater Control Light

Hi,

I'm new to the forum so not sure if I will get a reply. I bought a 2002 Arosa on Monday and since then, I have noticed a few problems with it. Mostly with lighting!

The hazards weren't working but I changed the fuse for them and they now work. However, I can't get the Interior light or the light behind the heaters to work. I tried a different fuse for the interior light but that didn't do anything. I also tried 3 different bulbs from friends and they didn't work either. (the bulbs work in their cars). Also, i think the light does work for the heater dials because when I click the re-circulation button, that lights up?  I can't think of anything else to try! Any help with be greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks

Pull the speed control knob out, it may be stiff, carefully remove the lamp, I use heatproof sleeping from downlights and a pair of snipe nose pliers but not everyone has the things I've listed, most use electrical tape rolled into a tube and snipe/needle nose pliers, it's a different lamp to the recirculating one. As for the interior light, do you know it rocks from side so side for you? Do you have a multimeter? If so just set it to voltage and bob it across the terminals and see if you get anything. If not trace it back. It could be a second dodgy fuse.
