Hi all, recently bought Ross-Tech vagcom for my arosa to check the faults, I cleared the faults but only one came back so I'm guessing it need changing, not to sure what it is so came here for help.

Address 01 : Engine  labels : Redir fail

controller : 030 906 032 AS

component : ME7.5.10

coding : 00001

1 fault found

17852 - potentiometer for EGR (g212) : implausible signal

I have no idea what a potentiometer for ERG is and I'm just baffled, whatever is it does it need changing??

Any help would be appreciated

Check all the connections going to your EGR Valve... And in VCDS/Vagcom you should be able to run some tests to see if the valve is able to move.

I had a similar issue and although I can't remember the exact fault code I replaced the EGR valve and it's been fine ever since. About £15 from a breakers and half an hours work.
