vnd
Good evening all.Having had just about every marque of car ever built, other than VWs, I couldnt resist a Lupo when one popped up for sale just around the corner. Its been run into a kerb, bending a steel rim, a wishbone and a rod. Other than that, it seemed sound so I made a cheeky offer.
vnd
Swapped the dented steel wheel out and the kindly tame local garage were kind enough to swap out the wishbone and rod out and whack it in form an MOT.OutIn

vnd
The light on the heater panel was out so I guessed a bulb was out. After looking at the very helpful "how to" guide, I gathered some tools. And set to work.Out, little broke thing.New one in.Hooray!Thank you for repairing me Dave. Would you like to play chess? And then there was lights. Edited October 3, 2015 by vnd
vnd
With all the "major work" done, I decided to try and get a proffessional to do the simple stuff. We got to the cambelt just in time I recon. Looked original. That looks just about ready to Pop to me.New water pump, cam belt, oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter were fitted and the longevity of the little Lupo was extended. vnd
Took it for a long run to shake it down and it runs a lot smoother, quieter and idles level after the service.I'm really happy with it.I know its just a shitty base Lupo 1.0, but they all deserve a bit of care and attention.

vnd
Awesome, this thread made me LOL. Good car, dirt cheap bargain there. Agreed. It would have been rude not to have a punt at such an affordable price.Looks like you are taking good care of it, keep it like that! Its a bad habit. I buy a car for cheap. Spend a stupid amount of money to bring it up to a decent standard, then normally sell at a massive loss.Got to have a hobby havnt you?
