I'm actually living and working in Switzerland!

But to answer your question, I'm from León, a small city in the north of Spain... No circuits but nice roads around there as well :)

another weekend race. wonderfull!! new personal best, and 5s behind leader in best lap, without any change at the car from the last race. in biiig need of exhaust and software in order to make up the time difference and start the fight with the other lupos. right new, it was a very nice fight for 7th place with a dacia logan, with experienced driver. the car has 100hp, also, so not far from Lupo. dacia's lap time is around 5s behind the Lupo.

and one pieces BMW I8 which kept us slower :))

used millers nanodrive oil, and the temperature was very good. in qualifying only 87-89 degrees C, but in race the temperature did not exceed 100. very good. my old S3 was around 125 degrees in 5 laps race.  street driving, the oil stays at 75.

That's a good result, especially if no changes to the car! More experience with the car maybe? Are you running the standard Ecu at the minute?

the personal best was achieved when running from and after the championship leader in qualifying sessions  her (yes, its a girl) car is LUPO CUP for real, which ran in the Lupo Cup in Germany in 2005. so no GTI "upgraded" to CUP...like mine.

yea, stock ECU, stock exhaust. they have upgraded exhaust (bigger, and with bigger and more free flow) and updated ECU software and around 140hp. mine has stock 125. also the throttle pedal response is different after these modifications...and the car is faster  considerable. i could not keep up with them on the straight line.

the spectators said that i was the "silent one ". all others were heard from the exhaust noise, my car had only the tires sound :))

Haha, that's what they say about mine as well, you don't hear it coming! Still, 5 seconds behind one of the Cup cars is still very good!

Will you be looking to run new management or just map the ecu that is on at the minute? I'll be going aftermarket with the new engine.

due to regulation, i can only make a software update to the ECU for the exhaust..like chip tuning. combined with the exhaust should bring 15hp more.

Yokohama Advan a048 semi-slick tires are used after 3 stages/weekends  :) the last one, i was pushing so hard the tires reached the safety marker.

i did mentioned. also, above, the leader is the daughter of the circuit owner :)) the 5s are in the best lap, the final result after 11 laps is around 1min behind... and something strange..my personal race record was achieved in the last lap..imagine how hard i was pushing to overtake the 7th position. photo finish.. i realized to take him right on the finish line.

my time:  21:25.884

the other:  21:25.900

New exhaust and software. i will post the dyno sheets as soon as i have them. apparently the car had 125hp, and now only 136, due to the hot outside temperature in my country. there are around 36 degrees C...during the day.  i was hoping for 140..but i will return in the automn for an update.

also, some other lupo GTI had 119hp, measured a few weeks back. very good results...

also the car was present at a VW meeting.

the exhaust sound a little bit too loud, but very nice. a brutal "V8"sound...i like it. on the 2nd of July  i will have a stage at a new circuit, and on the 9-10 july i will proper run the car in the championship.

3rd stage throughout the year,  3rd place in the 1st stage of the day and 4th in the 2nd stage of the day, so i had a podium finish on 3rd at the end of the day. wonderful race! due to the extensive heat (the race track had around 48-49 degrees C), the record was down with 2s, but still 5s behind the leader. further pics when i got them.  we were 11 cars on starting grill, 6 lupos and 5 logan.

the ARB helped me achieve new best time, mare the 3s less than last year, from 2.11 to 2.08. which is pretty good. the car is up for sale, if anybody interested...

How come you're selling it?

i am looking for a new job, possibly right in London :) and i need a daily driver here or there. if i sell it at the right price...its ok, if not...i will stick with it :)  i just ..still love it. rith now i cannot compete in the championship due to costs...so the car is just a track day car...

legalise it in the uk and use it here, drive to English track days and have fun here.

significantly cheaper than being in a championship and you can continue with something you enjoy.

that is a good idea, just that the transport to uk, can cost me a couple of thousand pounds :) and being left hand drive...its difficult legally to and from race circuit.

today i changed the connection/cables to spark plugs (i dont know how they are translated in english) and the main ignition spark.
