Get GALA signal from Clocks (for MFD)

Recommended Posts

I've been tempted into the MFD world and having a nice OEM sat nav would be lovely. However my pin1 has no GALA signal, I was wondering if you can splice from the clocks to get the speed signal.

If not is there another way for us GALAless folk to get the OEM MFD fitted?

I may have found the solution but am also seeing conflicting advice.

Here is where to get GALA signal for any future readers: http://koti.mbnet.fi/jylhami/trip/speedsignal.pdf

This diagram (http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2015/post-795-0-33956000-1425638639.jpg) tells me that GALA is infact at pin 2, not pin 1. Which would make sense as I've also read "most Lupos have GALA"

I also drive a sport and I have a feeling / reason in the back of my head that they all have it.

they do have GALA yes however you have to get an adapter loom that also includes a switch should you wish to put a tv in it :D
