alex4478 Posted May 24, 2015 Report Share Posted May 24, 2015 Hi,The mechanism which holds the door and provides resistance when you open it (what ever it's called!) has come away from the fittings. I've looked through the posts on here, but can't find anyone who has written up how to remove it. I've found a YouTube clip which showed how to remove one from a dodge. Craig birch Posted May 24, 2015 Report Share Posted May 24, 2015 So, the bolts popped out and the straps gone in the door? You can put a screwdriver in the hole and pull the strap back out to meet the post the bolt fell out. If it needs replacing, you need to take the bottom trim off where the speaker lives undo the two 8 or 10mm bolts feed the strap out. Refit is opposite to removal.
