Love it to bits already!I've made a start on my boot build today and was just wanting to create a post to show people how I've got on and maybe if anyone could suggest anything So I've ordered 2x Rockford forsgate 8" subs to go in the boot My box dimensions are as follows; (these dimensions are not set in stone yet I'm waiting on the subs to be delivered first)800 x 300 base764 x 264 top800 x 171 front & back x2264 x 171 sides x2I will the lay a false floor on top of the box all nicely trimmed and lit up with clear view of the subsOnly got round to cutting the wood today Edited May 10, 2015 by Reece94
Reece94
So here's the start of the build Managed to get the base front back and sides cut still unsure if there will be enough room for the subs but I still have room so I can make the box bigger
Reece94
And so this morning the post man was very nice to me and brought me my Rockford fosgate p1'sI will update this thread during the week! I'm on night shift at the moment Anyway some photos!!!!! The two 8" subs aren't anywhere nere as deep as I though they were so this means more room in the box Anyone recommend a amp? Cooper_GTI
Are you going with ported or sealed? I like the idea of 2x8" drivers. If you go ported you'll get a lot more noise out of them, especially if you get an amp that'll do a solid 500-1000wrms @ 4ohms.What resistance is the voice coil? 8 or 4 ohm? Reece94
Little bit of progress today Box all sealed with fibre glass so not chance of any air escaping I also ordered far to much purple suede so trimmed the backs of my rear seats, might do some more little bits but don't want to go over the top with the purple Anyway all that's left to do it cut a window in the false floor secure it all down so it doesn't move around and then wire it all in Here some photos of my progress
Reece94
Little bit more progress today, my amp finally arrived! Got that all wired in now the quality is superb, really happy with how they perform False floor template has been made now so all that's left is to cut it out of 11mm MDF trim it, and wires in some lights
