Lupo looks so much nicer than the Up, hard to believe the design is 18 years old...

Liking what you've done to your Lupo so far, btw! :)

Thanks bud, In SA I am asked all the time if I drive the new UP lol, and get shocked when they are told the car is 13 years old. hopefully these pictures can set them straight.

I hope to have a lot more done to the lupo but just bought a 2008 Seat Leon Cupra in Candy White, so I'll have to split my mod money between the 2 cars.

So anyways I got the rims fitted, I'm going to have to hieghten the car till i can afford to roll the arches:

But here is how they are sitting:

I'll post pictures when I get some nice ones from a car meet on Saturday

Unsure of the fitment to be honest, a tad lower and getting the arches rolled will definately help.

Tyres look massive too, how come you didn't go for 45's?

It is way too big for the car, I have driven maybe 2km with the car since fitment.

I am currently selling the wheels and going back to the original wheels and will carry on hunting for something else.

They tyres i used where the ones i had, to make these wheels fit i would need 170/40/15 and on a daily that is just crazy! especially with the amount of potholes on the road.

Sorry to hear they didn't work out... What kind of wheels are you looking to get now?

Thanks dude, I reckon I will be leaving the velo wheels on (not sure if you guys also call them that)

Money is super tight now so they'll have to do for some time

So decided to fit a cupra lip:

The top clips were cut off and pieces stuck at the bottom and filled with body filler:

IMG_1024_zpscbdmjefa.jpg

Then I sanded down everything as smooth as I could get it:

IMG_1170_zpsirt3vznv.jpg

The lip was sprayed black but then I hit a bit of a hiccup:

IMG_1243_zpsepre8poe.jpg

I was going to cut off the plastic lip from the bumper but I saw there is covers connected to the lip:

IMG_1242_zpskck5wccr.jpg

I was about to throw the lip in the bin when I test fitted it one last time and figured out a way to make it fit:

Trimming a bit off the back of the cupra lip to make it fit:

So then fitment happened, excuse the dirty car, that is happening this week:

Hi Guys.

I have bought a set of 16" Rims that are 6J in the front & 7J in the rear.

Has anyone else done a similar setup, and what sort of issues did you run into?

I did this drawing, with the correct specs of each rim taking into account that I'm using a 20mm adapter.

The Front rims will have an extra poke of 5.529 mm
The Rears will have an extra poke of 30.471 mm

Current tyre is 195/50/15

The plan is to get 165/45/16 for the new rims

So I got pretty busy this weekend, I decided to take off the 13.5kg tow bar (yes I weighed it), from the lupo:

IMG_1240_zpsgdtzzebx.jpg

Then I got the lupo back to earth where it should have been:

It has been on max height since August when I tried to make the TMB wheels fit.

So slowly moving along with Lupo, lots of other plans in store this December, but just small update in the mean time...

The Gearlever boot has been driving me mad, was all worn and collect all sorts of crap like dust bunnies.
Seeing I want to in the future do a black interior it made sense to make the boot black and grey stitching.

Next up..

I bought the bonnet bra for a 9n Polo, seeing this is the closest I would ever get to a lupo, I grabbed the opportunity.

It wasn't a bad fit, actually better than I expected. I sent this in same time as the gearlever boot to get slightly modified.

Howzit guys,

So I have a few updates so I will have to do it in sections.

I got a Mk5 GTI Steering Wheel in April of Last year and later in the year I got a harness for it which still won't be able to be used on the lupo, so for now it is on but electrics have not yet been connected. So I will hunt for the clock spring in the meantime.

Anyways, onto pictures...

Okay next on the list… Rims

I bought a set of 5 x 16” Boxster Rims Feb 2016. 6J front – 7J rear, 20mm Adpaters.
1 One rim had a buckle in it and I decided to turn it into a table, So had one of my mates from Industrial Punk Designs to build me this side table out of the spare rim.

I did not have any centre caps and Mr Tander himself organized me a set off ebay while he was visiting in the UK. The only ones we could find was the black set, so this in turn decided my rim colour.

Next tyres, this was decided after plenty conversations with Jarred Williams, trying to decide on a tyre width. Eventually after annoying Jarred for weeks on end I came to a decision, 165/45/16. I could not find a set close by so I ordered a set from P.E.
Now came the hardest part, fitment.

After having such a bad experience with the 8.5Js I fitted on the lupo I did not want any more issues. I did a hell of a lot of homework to try make sure fitment would not be a problem.
The back fenders were rolled.

The amount of issues I had with this is too much too type and my fingers are already aching, but I the biggest thing was redrilling the hubs to a 5 x 100 PCD. Lets just say the company I used I would NEVER EVER recommend, so if you thinking of doing the same just ask me who I used and don’t take it there, I rather not name and shame because I am going to have every single hero on the forum telling me how wrong I am.

Adapters… oh greatness… So, when someone says they can do you a favour, rather just pay and get it done. My father said he could help me fabricate these adapters and a fraction of the price of what other people wanted, lets just say this took 9 months. And a lot of lessons learnt. But eventually the adpaters were made.

So there is a hell of a lot more that happened in between but I don’t want to get into every tiny bit of detail, but the wheels went on, and some problems were found later after going to campfest, I thought other things broke in the process, but seems everything is 100% thank goodness.

I just want to give a big thank you to Jarred who borrowed me his adapters off his mk1 so I could do drawings from them. And thank you to Nico who tried to help me out at campfest when I ran into a little P00.

Now for some pictures…

Howzit gents,

Here is the next update...

So my previous sub box took up all the little boot space I already had so I needed something that looked a bit better...

Previous Install...

boot_zpsuunky3gj.jpg

The job was a bit rushed to get the car ready for campfest, but in all honesty it works well it may just a need slight tweaks but all round I was happy with the job. okay some pictures...

So I got a 10" Infinity to replace the 12" JBL I previously had, I built a box on the minimum size the box could be, with a cover to go over the amp, then cut masonite to the same shape as the boot...

IMG-20170210-WA0014_1486709403064_zpsun7

I then cut foam to the same shape as the board, this foam was a bit thick so a mate of mine got thinner foam and ended up redoing my work..

IMG-20170210-WA0013_1486709403215_zpsg7b

Got some black material to cover the foam...

IMG-20170210-WA0012_1486709403293_zpsqlv

The final product with the thinner foam...

IMG-20170210-WA0008_1486709403677_zpswgg

I sprayed sections of the box black where portions could possibly be seen past the cover...

Installed...

So because I never plan on selling the Lupo, I thought I would invest a few months salary into her.

As some of you might know I was side swiped in June last year a week after dubrun.

I decided to do all the things I wanted to do to her all at once...

The list of things I had done...

+ All dents and scratches removed
+ Shaved the beadings off the doors
+ Rolled Arches
+ Gloss Front & Rear Valence
+ Gloss Grilles
+ PDC Removed
+ Shaved Number Plate Recess
+ Full Blow over

Some before Pictures...

I had a wooden Number Plate made (The idea was to match my previous sub install idea but I ran out of time) ...
As you can see, like most girls, all this pictures are taken of her rear...
