jon_273
150 seems low, I got between 200-210 on all of mine. Tested around 101k miles. The VAG software ELSA states what compression should be but I don't have it to hand right now.
Samey44
If you can find out what my psi should be, let me know please?
Dblock
10-15 bar with no more than 3 bar between cylinders.7 bar is considered the worn limit. pasted from caspergti. Edited March 29, 2015 by Dblock
Samey44
Hopefully everythings fine then i am getting 10.35bar on all of my cylinders matching.I am guessing with regular servicing and oil changes every 4000 miles hopefully ill slow down the wearing process a lot!Be a real shame to have too rebuild her. Samey44
I rebuilt her in the end, fixed all my problems and its running spot on now! Edited August 28, 2015 by Samey44
Rich
Compression test says nothing for the oil consumption, a cylinder leak down test is the only way.
