BradLupo
Got myself a black VW Lupo 1.0L in black as a first car and looking for some cheap mods as I am on a budget but want the car to look and possibly perform better? Skezza
Forget about performance. It's slow and it'll always be slow. What kind of cheap mods you thinking? New head unit? Maybe spray your steelies get them looking a bit flash? Clean it. Keep it tidy.
Dblock
Chop the springs slam it. Put 13" wheels on it. That's cool. And a roof rack that will looks super cool.

Dblock
But seriously. Give it a good service if needs it. Air filter cabin filter etc etc. give it a good clean. Fit some new wipers. Upgrade your pads and discs for a more sporty feel, braided hoses if your flush and then it's where you want to go from there. Skezza
DBlock, don't think 1.0E's come with a cabin filter, although a ghetto cabin filter is a good shout as a mod. Just use some oven insulation or a chopped up cabin filter from another car and duct tape. Stop all those pesky leafs getting in.Braided hoses? On a 1.0? Let's be realistic Edited March 26, 2015 by Skezza

Let's be realistic Having a slow car means you have to out brake and out handle bigger or faster cars. Braided hoses make a hell of a difference. I kind regret not getting then for my tdi when I put 280m Cupra calipers and carriers on. I can now run yellow stuff or ds2500's if I wanted lol. I know braided hoses are more about feel but its a good mod you can feel for not much money.
Skezza
But really a bit overkill on a 1 litre.
Dblock
All lupos are slow. Gti's are slow. But that's not the point of them. IMO a great start.

Dblock
lets not go there, huh?I'm not slagging the gti lol. I'm just saying a slow car is made more fun when you can out brake and out handle bigger more powerful cars.
