LexG
Hi,Firstly i want to say this car is such fun to drive and very economical.I've owned it since last June.2002Anthracite GreyApprox 98500 miles will change this week.rare Starlite alloys, including an extra brand new one (without tyre) could be used as the spare.Original GTI interior (the TDI sport came with this as standard.)slightly lowered Full service book and lots of receipts for work done.Cat D from light damage before i bought it.Located in Chertsey, Surrey.£1400 quick sale Edited April 1, 2015 by LexG
weslangdon
3 Questions do you know how it was lowered, please tell me it wasn't with an axle grinder to the springs, does it have aircon and can you give detail of the accident. £2k is a little rich though
number63
I think £2000 is bang on the price it should be, looks nice on starlights
LexG
HiThanks for the comments ..I'm not sure what springs it has, feels comfortable and firm.Don't know exact details of accident but as it's cat d that's the least damage and lowest level.Does not have air con. Also has Cambridge back lights and new front ones. The spoiler is a reiker and was fitted when I bought the car, it's perfectly matched to the bodywork .There is a small thumb size bubble of rust above the back left wheel arch , I have all the stuff needed to fix .. Vw paints , rust proofer etc..but don't have time to do it myself. Will be included with the car.
LexG
I think the price is fair.. I've been offered £300 for the wheels alone.
Keelan
My tdi didn't come with gti seats as standard.. I'd double check that
jetfitzmaurice
Hi, do you have any interior pictures, when was the cam belt last done? Best Regards James
Silver!
GTI style seats were added to post 02 models as far as I remember. If my daughter would pass her test I would seriously consider this.
Keelan
Okay thank you, I was unaware of this. I was surprised to see speaker holes in my (late) 2000 reg. Thought I'd chime in to make sure all was kosher
myuran
Hasn't this car had like 9 owners now?
LexG
Yes, last owner was a VW guy who got it at a show. Before that it was registered to a couple who both registered as separate owners, before that I don't know. It's a 13 year old car so it's going to have a few owners, if it had like 3 and 40000 on the clock it would be £3500.. If you could find one.I'll get info on the cambelt and mire pics when I can, need to give it a clean first! It also comes with rubber mats but also a new set of back carpet mats.New JVC stereo that you can plug your iPod into.I will also get a new mot sorted too.£30 tax a year, and £30 to fill the tank.Feels very safe and solid, really good on the motorways too.I'm 40 this year and always wanted a GTI, and a ridiculously nice one came up and I'm going for that, otherwise I would have kept this. jon_273
Hasn't this car had like 9 owners now? There have been a few anthracite TDI's around with starlites (including mine), maybe you have seen similar cars on the forum before and thought they were the same one? lupogtiboy
I have seen this car in person, and its pretty close to mint condition. The spare Starlight alloy came from me too, it has never been on a car as it was our display one from the showroom, so is as good as new condition.Good luck with the sale Alex, I hope it goes to a good home! Silver!
Which GTI have you bought?
Nadeemaashraf
I had a Tdi, sold it to buy a gti. Hand on heart I'd say the tdi is more fun to drive. The only reason to get a gti is the looks!
