Joem106
I've just recently bought a 1.4 lupo S, it's my first car. I love the euro look but I'm unsure on how low to go and still be able to commute. I have been looking at 8J/13 Weller rims, I'm wondering how low I could go with out having to avoid any bumps in the road? And also will I have to roll the arches on the 8J I'm also stretching the tires. ☺️

Damian@DPM
Did you have a budget in mind for what you wanted to spend on the suspension? You may be best off going to height adjustable coilovers so you can alter them to suit what you need.Damian @ DPM Performance
Silver!
You need to go very low to lose the arch gap on 13s. My Arosa was lowered on -45mm springs, with 165\60\13 tyres; which have a 19mm smaller diameter than the standard 155\70\13, so actually lowered around 65mm over standard (with new tyres). It didn't look low at all, but it cleared speed ramps. My GTI is lower and it clears speed ramps, unless braking, then the splitter fowls. Best bet is to fit he coilovers and adjust to suit your needs; or get air\air assist.
Joem106
Thankyou guys, I don't really have a budget but I know I can't afford air suspension, I'm wondering whether it would be a wiser idea to put 15s on it but would 8j be to wide on the arches and foul? ☺️
