Problem with the response of the fuel gauge when fuel is put in the tank. The fuel tank sender/pump unit has been replaced. The printed circuit board with the resistors on has been cleaned, checked and refitted. The replacement tank unit has been cleaned, checked and refitted. Both tank senders give exactly the same resistance change when the float is moved from bottom to top, that is empty to full tank. The VAG com reader shows correct movement of float arm from bottom to top, that is empty to full tank. When the car is rocked, the VAG com shows movement of fuel in tank. Fuel light goes on when tank is nearly empty, that's OK. Put £20 aprrox 17 Litres of fuel into tank. Start engine, fuel warning light still on. Two miles later full warning light goes out but gauge still on red line. 6.5 miles to home, needle still on red. Next day drive about ten miles with needle still in red. Another day later just driving along and needle rapidly rises to read almost 3/4 of a tank. Everything normal for three to four days, fuel just below half a tank. Needle slowly drifts to red line again. After about a week I decide to leave engine running while putting fuel in. Needle responds correctly and goes to 3/4 full. Needle operates fine for a week. Needle in red today so leave engine running while putting in fuel and needle sits at red for about 15 miles before moving to 3/4 full. Is there a register in the onboard computer that will alter the dampening rate of the sensor so that the needle will respond quicker. Is there a Master Reset to the onboard computer?

Okay so i bought my nato green lupo in june/july, the previous build thread is here... http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?/topic/95354-the-tank-carbon-handmade-hcca-sub-box-d/page-3 When i got the car there was alot to be done, im in need of some rear seats, some wheels and also a little touch up on the paint. The lupo has had alot of work done on it before i bought it so i am no way going to take any credit for this! Its a 1.7 sdi, it had 120000 miles on the clock and it runs sweet as a nut! There is a false floor in the back and has been soundproofed for some awesome audio! It is on coilover suspension and just on steel wheels. The colour of the car is nato green, it is the paint they use on tanks, the paint has been rolled on but the finish isnt so bad because of this! The roof of the car is like a creamy colour (like a sandy camo) im not too sure about this so i think im going to paint over in the green, the headlights and indicators have a yellow film over too. Ill get some photos of the car soon. As of writing this post and getting round to actually posting on the forum i have made many changes to the car which i will show very soon
