  1. I have recently bought a VW Lupo 1L. I’m looking at changing the cassette player in it to a CD player but not sure how. I have a CD player already but the connections are all completely different. Please could someone recommend a good CD player that has a connection for your phone too please for this car that would be a straight swap. Thanks in advance!
  2. So I have the standard tape style radio and 6 CD changer in my GTI. I'm sick of creating CDs and whatever to listen to music when I have it all on my phone so I'm looking at adding an aux input to the car. Looking around on eBay there's a few different options. There's the connects2 blocks and similar products available but I'm not sure if they only work with the single unit CD changer and not the 6 that I have? I also like the look of something like this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Audio-AUX-Switch-Cable-For-VW-Volkswagen-Jetta-MK5-Golf-GTI-Tiguan-Hot-/291945233253?hash=item43f94abb65:g:mE8AAOSwo4pYJaXT Has anyone done / seen anything similar and how simple would it be for me to set up? Cheers
  3. Hello good fellow Lupo Heads! I recently got my first car (about 4 months ago), which is a basic 2004 Lupo 1.0, nothing to fancy but still a charm & love it more & more each day! ...Anyway, to cut to the chase Im hankering after a nice new stereo & a set of decent replacement speakers for the doors, all within a good budget - say no more than £250. ...Please forgive me and my lack of knowledge on both cars & fitting stereos etc but I could really do with some help/advice on how I would go about changing the stereo & what will/won't fit, & what I will need to buy etc for it to work & look in good shape? ...Im certain I want a stereo with built in cd & bluetooth but not to sure yet as to go for a single or double din unit (as I believe my lupo can accommodate either, having a stock vw beta radio & stock vw single cd player underneath). I have my eyes on getting a Sony MEX-N5100BT (as a replacement to the stock beta radio) then a pocket underneath (as a replacement to the stock cd player). I just want some feedback on how I would go about creating this set up in my car &/or if it would actually work? I have to admit I'm a little on the fussy side so would like it to look nice & not bulge out from the dash to much. Am I right in saying I could replace the stock radio for the Sony MEX-N5100BT as is, then simply replace the stock cd player with this pocket underneath the stereo: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271891048751?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Would really appreciate any advice/help! Cheers Matt.
  4. Hey Guys, So basically i brought a lupo and ive tried connecting 3 different cd players but the cd players only eject the cd's and accept them nothing lights up on 2 of them and the front face lights up on the other, we tried testing the wires and the connector A memory + 12V wire isnt showing any power so if this is the problem, is there a fuse (What one to check) and if its a wire is it easy to get to? thanks guys this si on my lupo 1.4s
  5. Hi all, This is my first post on club lupo so I dont know if this is in the correct section or not. Anyway, I am currently looking at buying my first car. I have found a VW lupo 1.4 S Auto that I like but I am aware that they only have a cassette player in them. I really want to keep the shelf under the cassette player for CD's and various other things. I was wondering can you buy the VWZ4Z3 unit in the UK and can it be fitted to replace the stock cassette player? Also do the dimensions of the two players match? I really do not want to have a modern looking CD player so am only interested in what VW CD players I can fit to replace the original cassette player. Thanks for any and all replies in advance
