  3. Hello folks! Just thought i'd introduce myself as I've just bought an arosa tdi, and thought it's probably best I sign up to club lupo for all my small hatchback needs! So on the weekend just gone I took a trip up to Manchester to look at an Arosa Tdi, i'd been looking for a Tdi for ages, either lupo or arosa, and this one came up and at the right kind of price, so I thought, why the feck not go check it out. So after a nice two hour drive I was greeted with a nice canica blue tdi. Checked it over, took it out for a spin and thought, yeahh, I think i need this in my life. Pictures speak louder than words, so heres afew pics. With the weather being so shite i've not actually taken any of my own yet, so heres some I took from the advert that sold it to me. Gotta say though, you can really tell its a cheaper car than the lupos, everything does feel a tad cheap. So, issues i've figured out since buying it - the temp gauge has a mind of its own, it climbs up then drops, then stays dropped for ages, so it mostly shows no reading, any idea what this is? Temp sensor? - Ive got one main beam bulb thats gone - My drivers side electric window switch doesnt work, so i cant raise or lower windows from my side, apparently i just need a new switch (if anyones got one, please drop me a pm) - think its a tad too low as i keep scraping the belly pan or whatever its called, which now rattles like crazy when the cars idling I think thats pretty much it.. those are my initial things to fix, as well as anti rusting the arches. If anyones got any suggestions or comments, smack me up with them. Cheers, Jon.
  4. Hi, I am a new Arosa TDI owner - never have guessed that from the freaking thread title would ya - in Bournemouth. I have a question. I am fed up of almost falling out of the car window when I go round corners. Does anyone have any recommendations for seats for these cars? Searching for Seats as a SEAT owner is somewhat of a nightmare. Something to do with SEAT being the same spelling as seat... but I don't really get the reference. Any help is much appreciated. I'm off on holiday soon, so not looking to buy straight away, just incase someone is trying to offload any now. Thanks
  5. Looking for a cv joint for a 1.2 tdi 3L, new or used if anyone knows to a breaker? Have got one on order from dealer but up to 10 days. Graham
  6. finally got my Lupo Tdi, its my second car, the first was a 1.0 red seat arosa travelled 14 hours from Leeds to Cardiff and back to get her home the guy lied quite a lot when selling the car as it had lots of scratches, some quite deep, as well as the paint being down to the primer on the front bumper. Also on the way home i had gearbox problems, it wouldnt go from 5th to 4th or 4th to 3rd, yet it would do 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th so this was a real worry as it proved dangerous on the motorway. Yet when the car was cold or going below 20mph the gears worked fine He's a black tdi with full colour coded interior, which means blue/black leather seats and headrests, leather gaiter and handbrake cover, leather upper door cards, leather stitched steering wheel, cup holders, heated seats, sport alloys etc etc after a four hour clean: my old car: still lots to do so i'll keep you posted: - bee sting ariel - colour code badge - paint callipers - sort out paintwork - fix gearbox (if i can?) - clean interior (boot full of dog hairs) - Fix speakers (cracked) - paint door handles (scratched) - New alloys - Lowering - new Grill - rear spoiler - re-map? thanks for taking the time to look, any comments would be appreciated
  7. THE BAD Front electric windows (both need new motors- this has been factored into price) must be seen to really appreciate a very clean, economical and tidy car. sensible offers considered im looking for £2,995 ovno.... 8. Hi I'm in the market for my first VW Lupo 1.4 TDi. Ideally i'd be looking for the best condition possible and as close to Birmingham as possible. If it has been remapped then cool, but if not factory standard is grand too! I need to buy in the next week though, it's all a bit last minute thanks to a written off puma :S (not my doing)
