I never noticed it before it sounds kind of like when a turbo spools ?! (maybe he fitted a turbo instead) hahaha or am I going mad? what could this be?

  10. I'm looking at some old dash heated seat switches but wanted to know what looms I'd need exactly for the installation. Do I need lupo heated seats or can I buy pads and wire them in. Cannot find and direct wiring diagrams on vagcat Only a loom one
  11. Hi there guys, I recently bought r32 heated leathers for my Lupo which came with the loom and also the mk4 golf switches which fit the later Lupo dash. My Lupo has the earlier dash which means that these switches will not fit. Then I stumbled on a pair of the switches on ebay and bought them to find out that the connectors on the rear are completely different to those of mk4 switches so i cant connect the loom up to the switches. Is there any chance i can purchase connectors for the earlier switches from anywhere therefore allowing me to mod the loom to fit them or have i got to buy another loom that will fit into the connectors? Abit of a dilemma really haha but yeah any help would be appreciated, here are some pictures of what i have: Loom which i recieved with seats MK4 switches/connector Lupo Early dash switches/Connector

  14. Well if you have seen my previous thread you will know that "Custard" my yellow lupo has died, more on that see my last thread: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=91480&hl= Sooo, "Long live Steve" the silver mk2 arosa. I believe this car has a thread already, previously owned by a good mate "Jak". Bought it at the weekend on an 03 plate with just shy of 60,000 miles; got a few freebies with it in the sale as well; set of Ronal LS's 15 x 7.5 (few flat spots but not too unrepairable), sportex back box (anyone want to buy it?), bonnet bra (again if you want it give me a shout), lupo rear lights, pressed plates and a few gamma radios. Haven't got many pictures atm with the weather and it being dark when i get home but will get some up . thats Steve Dont you just love VAG , mk2 hidden under the snow Had a few issues with the power or lack of on the Arosa, and not the usual "I only have 50 asthmatic horse under the bonnet"; it felt like the car was choking and as if the throttle response wasn't there until the pedal was nearly on the floor. So i cracked on tonight with the usual suspects of throttle body and plugs. i might add it was pissing down at this point haha. havnt seen a body this filthy since my ragged old 99000 mile mk1 cracked on with the carb cleaner and a old cloth nice and shiny ... missed a few bits but it was not budging and wasnt effecting the flap so just left it the **** that came out of it :/ Also whilst cleaning it noticed that the servo air feed pipe has a few splits in it :/ will have to sort that soon.

Noticed whilst cleaning the throttle body that one o the breather pipes (come off the left side of the air-box) was clogged with what looked like a water / oil mix... would be grateful if someone could shed some light on this That's it for now, enjoy and will try to make updates a bit more exciting.
  16. Does anyone know if any other headlights will fit on the arosa?! I want to have angel eyes but I will need to take apart my headlight to do it. I just wanted to buy a cheap light to test it before I do it on mine?! Any ideas?
  17. okay so, i had this crazy idea that putting a motorbike end can on my arosa would be a good idea o.O... just wondering if any1 else has done it and how did it turn out? also does putting a reducer on the exhaust effect performance much? .. the exhaust behind the back box has a diamater of 1.75" but the exhaust i have lieing around is only like 1.275" would it effect it much and would it make the straight thru exhaust end can quieter?
  18. Hi everyone, Not much of a poster on here...more of a lurker. So I thought I'd post a readers ride blog of the gfs loop and my Ibiza. The lupo was bought already modified, somethings I like, but not too keen on the wheels myself or the audi s-line badge on the back... but Amie (gf) wont let me take it off. I tell her it looks crap but she wont listen!!! 19. Hi Everyone, new user on here so apologies if this is in the wrong place. OK, so this going to make me sound like a right golden-oldie but I'm after some parts for an awesome little Lupo I've just bought for my daughters 17th Birthday so she can learn to drive in style. Now before anyone conjures up images of Victor Meldrew I'll point out I was the same age as she is now when she was born so I'm no coffin-dodger/oxygen-thief/etc etc etc. Anyhoo, I'm a die hard VW fan (Heavily modded Mk5 R32) so the Lupo seemed like a great choice for my daughter who has the same tatste in cars as me. I'm sure she'll pass her test soon and be another Lush lupo on the road. I've found her a nice 1.0S Lupo on a 51 plate but it's got a few bits missing or damaged that I need to find. So, I'm after; 1. Manual Window Winders (Complete assembly) for both sides (keep fit windows!), any colour would be fine so long as they match, black or grey ideally but as long as I get a matching pair they'll fit in with the mixey-matchey colour scheme I'm modding it with. 2. The piece of plastic trim that covers the seat hinge (right hand side of drivers seat) for the drivers side (in light grey) OR a pair of these trim pieces for both driver and passenger seats (outside edges of seat) in any colour. The community on here seems really helpful so hopefully you can help me out and get another happy Lupo Lady on the road. Hope you can help northerndan
  20. is it be possible to swap the vw lupo lower bumper for the seat one, just wondered because the seat arosa one looks sick with the vents and the lip!
  21. Putting in an infinity kappa 1400w in my Mk2 Arosa and need some advice on what size amp i need with it... I'm on a tight budget so dont really wanna spend over 250-300 pound...
  22. On my vw lupo which I purchased back in August, my plate spell arosa which is X47OSA I don't think it looks right on the car so I'm selling it an thought I'd have a go here. I'v had it valued and know what it's worth so any offers ??
  23. Well this is my 2000 seat arosa 1.0 (rory) i got it a month ago after psing my driving test on the 6th attempt after looking around it was the only one i liked that was in my price range so i went and picked it up from Winchester Heres how it looked when i got it First thing i did was pop a big chavy sub in the boot which wouldnt fit so i have it in upside down... Next i picked up a set of Jom blueline coilovers, popped them on with ome help from a friend after removing the helers and trimming the bump stops down a bit, looked a lot better Then i removed the bumpstrips off the side which took way too long! the night before edition38 but really likes the new look heres a rolling shot on the way to edition from a friend i also picked up some 15" mercedes trims and butchered them until they fit, looking pretty cool now (taken at edition38) Thats all for now stay tuned next thing i want is some new wheels possibly some 16" steels Also heres a edit from Edition 38 from a friend while we were there , im the one being towwed in the tent by the mk2 Link to video from edition Cheers
  24. Hi, I am a new Arosa TDI owner - never have guessed that from the freaking thread title would ya - in Bournemouth. I have a question. I am fed up of almost falling out of the car window when I go round corners. Does anyone have any recommendations for seats for these cars? Searching for Seats as a SEAT owner is somewhat of a nightmare. Something to do with SEAT being the same spelling as seat... but I don't really get the reference. Any help is much appreciated. I'm off on holiday soon, so not looking to buy straight away, just incase someone is trying to offload any now. Thanks
  25. Has this happened to anyone else? Looking underneath the seat at the O/S back corner, these's a small arm with with a spring that's come loose.. cant see how to fix it back in to place. Any tips anyone?
