Hi, I recently bought a 2003 Seat Arosa S 1.0 with 42k miles on it. Had an original timing belt so had that and the water pump swapped. I've recently noticed an intermittent ticking noise after the engine starts, which by the time i get to the destination seems to have stopped. Does this sound bad? I've done some research and have heard it could be tappets? Are these worth changing? Also i've been unable to fill up with petrol the whole way, the dash says its at half after i fill up, anyone had this problem?

Hi, i am very new to this community very soon to be 17, I 100% am getting an Arosa ideally the 1.4 tdi but I can only find one and it is very expensive, if anyone could help find one or just give me some tips. i'm also looking to put a new exhaust on it however im very uneducated and don't know what i could get that's not that expensive ( please link) one last thing will Lupo roof spoilers fit an Arosa as i'm also looking at getting a roof lip but cant find much thanks for your time.

Hey. Today I installed a new radiator fan. I have a question. The fan switches on when: 1. I turn on the air conditioning 2. The engine temperature is high. And does the fan just have one speed in these two situations? Does it have two speeds? Because I have only one fan speed.

Hi. Do any of you have 40/40 or 60/40 lowering springs? Can they be fitted on standard shock absorbers? Someone will show how Arosa looks on such a set?

Hello. Can anyone tell me how to replace the parking light bulb in the front of the Seat Arosa lift. I tried, but I can't get it out. And another question. To remove the front lamps I have to disassemble the bumper?

Hello. In December I installed a complete Sachs clutch. Because everything is beautiful, the clutch pedal went softly. Unfortunately, recently as the engine heats up when you press the clutch you can hear creaking. This is quite annoying. Is the clutch damaged? The wife also drives the car and maybe sometimes she burned the clutch ... Is the clutch cable to be replaced, for example? Or maybe somewhere you can lubricate it? Please forgive for my English :)

Hi all, This is my first post on this forum so I hope I'm doing it right! I am switching my '52 plate Arosa to a cone filter. I understand that I will be removing the air filters from the box. I have also purchased a small filter: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Air-Filter-Oil-Breather-Cold-Small-Mushroom-Intake-Crankcase-Turbo-Car-Vent/163689109250?hash=item261ca19702:g:1XgAAOSwUYpc2nHv to go on a breather pipe. My concern is that there are multiple pipes going into the box so what do I need to do with each of them? Which pipe is the oil breather requiring the smaller filter? Thank you in advance. PS. I know that this will not benefit the car's power output. I only want it louder Also it's my first car so still a bit of a noob!

Hello! i haven’t been on here since 2010. I used to own a Seat Arosa 1.4 sport, made the bad decision of doing a swap for a crap car, and I’ve missed the arosa ever since! Searched high and low for another one but still couldn’t find one. yesterday, I seen a Lupo GTi and ended up buying it ? I miss these little cars, got some big plans with it ? opinions?

Hi Guys, Yet another addition to the endless threads about engine conversions for the Arosa / Lupo. Ive been given a 1.0 Arosa that has great sentimantal value to m. I had always intended doing a major conversion on it when I got it, like a 1.8t or the likes however seeking the work involved ive been turned off the idea. Recently a 1.4 tdi arosa of the same year has come up for sale, and I wondered if anyone has done the 1.4 tdi conversion on the 1.0 petrol or if theres any info out there ?? This is really just a spare car to have around, and perhaps used on the occasional commute to work but it definately needs more power and the 1.4 tdi route seems the way to go given the tunability and torque. All info appreciated

Okay, i'm pretty rubbish when it comes to electrics so any help would be greatly appreciated. The original speakers in my '98 Arosa were pretty naff so I got my hand on some '03 Ibiza speakers for free. The clips are the same but the wiring is different. Here's some photos; Arosa Wiring Wiring from Ibiza This issue is that there doesn't seem to be the same power going to new speakers as there was when they were in the original car. Is this because the headunit in the Ibiza was able to give more power or is it due to the fact that there's less wiring/wiring is different? As mentioned ANY help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi All, This is my first post on this forum! I'm after a bit of advice please. I need the passenger side front hub assembly unit. On some models of Seat Arosa they have cast in callipers, on others they are bolt on callipers. I'm after a bolt on for my 1.4 TDI seat arosa but they appear to be quite rare. I wondered if perhaps the Ibiza or 1.4 Diesel Lupo or Polo perhaps would have the same as I require, which is the bolt on. Thanks in advance everyone!

Afternoon All New to the site and not actually a Lupo nor Arosa owner yet but am currently looking, aiming to pick one up before the end of May, hazar! So yes hello, I'm South Wales based although I travel for work so may some of y'all on the road. If any of y'all have a yearly running cost of the 1.4 TDI Sports trim (Lupo) or the standard Arosa diesel that would be great, just going of guesstimates right now but want something more concrete before I purchase

Help I have a Y reg seat arosa that currently has central locking... when I first bought the car the boot locked at the same time as I locked the doors via the central locking. Ive used my boot today and now when I lock my car the boot doesn't lock? I have to put the actual key into the boot to physical lock and unlock it. When I do this it then no longer unlocks.... ive checked my owners manual and doesn't say anything about it. can anyone help? Many thanks arosashan

My son's 2004 VW Lupo TDI failed its MoT due to the drivers seat not locking in position. I've had a quick look and it looks like the mechanism is parting due to a missing circlip/c clip/washer - local garage quoting £250 for a repair including £65 for replacement assembly but can;t justify the cost. I've PM'd another chap who seems to have had a similar issue a couple of years ago with his Seat Arosa. Any ideas on where I might get a replacement clip/washer - it looks the sort of thing which should costs pennies but I may be underestimating the issue. Any other advice/suggestions welcomed. -
so i recently bought myself a 1998 Arosa and well the car is F***** passed an M.O.T with some welding and bulbs however i started to realise the gearbox was getting stiffer and alot harder too get in too gear,i had the selectors check and there fine,clutch is fine too,so before i go out and buy a whole new box,im praying someone could maybe shed some light on it? cheers guys

For sale is my 1998 Seat Arosa 1.0 MPi in black, reluctant sale due to needing a bigger car and no way to keep 2! The car was owned by my Grandmother from new and I aquired it in 2013 with only 18,000 miles on the clock. The car now has 33,160 miles (may rise slightly). Main upgrades/work done to car: -Supplying dealer fitted 15" alloys professionally refurbished and fitted with Dunlop BluResponse tyres all round -Philips headunit with USB, AUX and Bluetooth -Cambelt, waterpump and tensioners replaced at 18,430 miles -Gauge install in cubby hole (can be turned off or removed) -EU approved towbar and electrics -Original Seat mudguards The car has 2 keys and an alarm fitted by the supplying dealer which includes remote central locking. The car also has factory electric windows and the original Seat floor mats. The V5 is present along with extensive service history and the MOT which expires 20/01/2017. I serviced the car last month and the car has recently been detailed/protected with sealant. In terms of mechanicals and interior, the car really is in immaculate condition. The black exterior is certainly respectable, as the car often attracts comments about how looks far newer than it is. The car is located in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire but Audlem, Cheshire can be arranged. Right so i was looking for a new car and i was going to be a right weirdo and buy an mx5 or an ibiza or something but i decided on this..i went to see the car and saw this massive black stripe down the side of the car, with two small stripes either side, was going to just peel it off when i got it home but now I'm not so sure...was just wondering has anyone else had or seen this on another arosa? Doesn't look like someone else has put it on and if they have it's a decent job..(i think so)...is there anyone out there seen this before? Curiousity is killing me..Can't find anything online..anyone know if it's standard or aftermarket?
