  1. I ran a scan on my Lupo because there was an engine light on, here are the results. Can someone explaint what is wrong? Thank you. Chassis Type: 6X (6X - VW Lupo (1999 > 2006)) 1 Fault Found: 16785 - EGR System P0401 - 35-00 - Insufficient Flow Readiness: 0000 0000
  2. Hi, Desperate to find myself a little lupo! If anyone has one for sale please let me know. Don't want more than 90k mileage. Based in North West England but willing to travel for the right car. Thanks!
  3. Hello everyone, In my Lupo 3L beta radio, the search function (<< | >>) does not work - when pressed, it does not change the fm radio - I need to use the manual selection (< | >). The scan function works well. What could be the problem? Thank you!! Jet
  4. I have owned my little Arosa since 2003 and sadly time has come to pass on ownership. I have changed jobs and moved to live near where I work - I don't need a third car anymore. Will be sad to see it go. This car brought me to membership here back in the day. Make: Seat Model: Arosa MOT: 25 February 2018 (https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/) TAX: Buyer responsible Engine size: 998cc Fuel type: Petrol Description including modifications: 3rd owner from new. Commuter car, so low mileage which can be verified from the above MOT history link. Service pack, 2 keys, and lots of receipts held. Had a lot of extras from new - believe it was a demo model, central locking, ABS, Air con, adjustable steering wheel, 5 speed, genuine Seat floor mats and aftermarket overmats. Car has been maintained to high specs. Last major work Aug 2015 when camshaft was replaced (worn on one rocker), and a full timing belt/water pump change carried out. Approx mileage was 85k when this was done. Had a comprehensive service undertaken including spark plugs and leads. Discs and pads are still good for many miles (had Brembo items fitted many years ago and have hardly worn them). Very good tyres all around - rears look barely used. New middle and rear exhaust (Jan 2017). The car is in good condition for it's age, has marks and dings you would expect for a London car that occasionally receives unwarranted attention from yobs in passing. Interior is reasonable but can be cleaned up - the drivers seat bolster is showing some slight wear, and the interior has a few marks and scratches. There is slight bubbling on the rear wheel arch and a scratch on the other following an encounter with an exposed cable. Have done some motorway miles recently and car handles really well on the motorway at the legal speed limit. Location: Potters Bar / Croydon - car is registered in PB where I used to live, and as I have moved can also be seen where I now live if easier to get to. Images: See and judge for yourself Price: £*** ovno (may include some extras). Call beeftex (Rifa-Cat) on 07934 464 058 or send me a text message.
  5. Hi guys. I'm new to the forum and am pretty useless with knowing how to mod a car. I drive an 18 year lupo 1.0l and she's a dream. She has some pretty decent denting to the left front wheel arch that's been partially pulled out but was wondering would a body kit replace that panel? If not, what would and suggestions please? She's in the fantasia green colour
  6. So since it's my 18th today, i thought now would be a good time to introduce Loopy (Very original name, i know... ) I bought a soft blue 1.4 Lupo for my first car, and i just wanted to start my build thread as i have a lot of plans for it. First off, this is her: (sorry for the bad quality images. A better camera is in the works) I've started off with little things whilst I'm still getting used to the car: (The nasty looking plates are going...the DVLA spelt my name completely wrong on my ownership documents, so i have to wait for them to come back correct so i can get some nice pressed ones ) My dad is a big inspiration to me, and is just as excited for me to get my car as i am. He came to me and said "so when are you getting your coilovers so we can fit them?" Seeing as I've paid for everything off my own back so far, he helped me out with a few things: Pioneer stereo and pre-amped sub. I owe him a pint or two So far, I've gone as far as Wednesbury in her, and i have plans to travel to manchester too. I'm also really into bmx, so im very pleased that the seats fold down I purchased a HID Kit, and also new brake pads when it went through its MOT and they came up on the advisory along with a nearly bald tyre, of which caused me to replace all four. Its crazy how much of a difference there is in the brightness and clarity. I got some free LED sidelights in with the kit as a gift, and so fit them too: I have a few other things planned, but for now im happy with her and will be holding off on anything else for a little while. Some smaller updates will no doubt come through soon, but nothing major. Thanks for reading. Mylo
  7. Lupo 1.4 set of 4 original Lupo steel wheels required for new drivers car insurance. Will collect near London. Please help me!
  8. Hi, just wanted to stop and say Hi to everyone. Recently got myself Lupo 1.4 16V 2001 and as you can imagine it will come up with some issues. So far I got the first issue with alternator not charging but will see what else may turn up. I did own a VW Beetle 1974 many years ago and the restoration toke me over 1 year but in the end was amazing. Anyway, this in the past and after saying goodbye to my Golf 2 years ago I decide now to take my chance on Lupo. Hopefully, I will find some cool knowledge and advice here. Many thanks Georgi
  9. Hi all, Been reading through a few topics on this but cant find a definate answer. My oil light keeps beeping at me when the car is getting to hot, or so it seems. Im not too bothered about this as the car runs perfectly fine. Does anybody know where i can find the speaker for the beeping noise so i can cut the wire to stop it from annoying me. And if anybody knows how i can fix this problem then that would be greatley appreciated. For now i just want to stop the beeping until i have the time and can be bother to attempt to diagnose the problem. Thanks in advance for your help Danny
  10. Im a bit late creating this thread, its been on RetroRides for a while. So ill throw all the pictures on here and then continue to log progress. Up to date as of today. If a mod could move to Project Cars I would be appreciative.
  11. Soooo, I want to take out my coilovers and replace them with the originals or as near to them as possible. I was advised that the back ones could be taken out no problem and a replacement would not be needed but apparently the front strut and things will be needed to be changed or altered, I'm not sure what is needed to be done. I just want to take out both rear and front coilovers and get it back to sitting at normal height, what is needed to be done and bought thankyou!! Will other models of lupos have similar parts that I need? p.s it is a 1.4 vw lupo tdi sport 2003
  12. Hello All, I have just bought a 1.4 TDI Lupo and i am in need of a wiring diagram so i can relocate the indicators from the fog lights on a GTI bumper to the side repeaters on the wings. the previous owner has really made a dogs ear of the wiring loom so could do with some help regarding this. Thanks
  13. Hi, I'm desperately trying to find a Lupo 1.4 TDI with around 80-110,000 miles on the clock! If you are looking to sell one please contact me! frazermurraycontact@gmail.com. cheers
  14. New member here, hiiiiii. Basically, I've been doing huge amounts of research and found the perfect set of wheels in terms of offset, look, width, etc., but they're Volvo, 5x108 jobbies. I've been told that it'd be impossible to get adaptors to make it happen from a 4x100. 1 ) is that right? Should I let the dream die? 2 ) could I not get the adapters made? Willing to pay a fair amount but obviously nothing ludicrous. Open to suggestions. 3 ) is there any other way I can make them fit? Please help! Thanks
  15. Hi guys I'm a complete audio novice so go easy please. I want to upgrade my sound system in my Lupo 1.0. I'm looking at replacing the front speakers for Rainbow DL-X6s. I'm aware I need to get the adapter ring for them to fit. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/rainbow-dl-x6-6-5-coaxial-speakers I'm wanting to put the following sub in the boot- Hertz Energy ES 250D.5. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/hertz-energy-es250d-5 Does anybody have any experience with these? Would you recommend them? If not is there something better out there for similar money? And will this amp be powerful enough to run them? It states it can be ran as a 3 channel system. Hertz HCP 4D http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/hertz-hcp-4d Thanks in advance for in input and advice
  16. Well, that's what I'm aiming for, anyway. Going into this rather blind, so would appreciate all the help, guidance and community that I know ClubLupo offers! Have browsed for months and now making myself known. Hello! Here's my plan: https://www.autocar.co.uk/opinion/new-cars/can-you-buy-good-car-£300
  17. The day has come to sell my Arosa as I've now bought a new car. I've owned the car since November 2014 and covered approx 25k in it since. It also has a huge amount of receipts/past MOT's and the V5C in my name and the original 2 keys (one with locking buttons). Pictures here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seat-Arosa-Sport-100bhp-Big-spec-lots-of-upgrades-/142382581436? Spec is as below; - 1.4 100bhp sport AUB 109k - doesn't burn a drop of oil. - Custom Chrome exhaust cat back - Direnza stainless manifold - AP coilovers - 12 months old in perfect order. - Whiteline rear anti-roll bar - Rota GRA 15x6.5, rare now in 15' as they only make them in Subaru size now, with brand new rota caps (perfect condition refurbed in Jan) - Yokohama S Drives 195/45/15 - bought new when wheels were done - 20mm H&R rear spacers. - Momo 300mm, red stitching with a genuine boss and yellow horn button. - Kode red gear knob - Alpine CDE235bt Bluetooth stereo - Cambridge rear lights - Brembo discs front and back, green stuff pads (front) Brembo (rear) - Heko wind deflectors - Dash vents painted splash effect, they look nice (people always ask about them), but to be honest they're not the best finish. - Really decent rubber car mats Recent parts fitted, most/all will have a receipt... - New ignition leads (bigger and don't fit holder) - New battery - New coil pack - New tyres - S Drives - Brake light switch - Rear Brembo pads - Wishbones, ball joints & track rods - Tracking done at A-line with the printout. Serviced in my ownership every 5k with Castrol / Mobil 1 oil and decent parts - not all stamped but lots of receipts from Motorfators with the reg number for service parts. Last service was one was 2k ago. Bad bits... - Bodywork is tatty at the best. Loads of lacquer peel and about 7 shades of yellow. - Rear arches look like they were rolled by a blind person paint has cracked. also paint has flaked off around the rear number plate. - the lip on the sills on both sides are bent/damaged (used as a jacking point by someone), not really an issue but you can see it. - Windows have a mind of their own but always work, drivers one sometimes needs to be asked twice or need a hand halfway up. Passenger one opens only with passenger switch. - Rear right caliper sticks on slightly sometimes and can hear it, still stops as it should. - At some point, the engine light has been taped over, and it is on (can see it in the dark) because of exhaust lambda readings, but the car drives spot on. I also have lots of parts for lying around for it, that will come with the car if the buyer wants, including original seat 5 spoke alloys. Now I know roughly what this car will break for, but I don't have the time or can be bothered to do it. So grab a bargain on the whole lot. No swaps. CASH ON COLLECTION £750 ono
  18. Hi, Selling "Larry" as we unfortunately no longer need two vehicles and he's just not getting used. Rare wee car, especially with this low mileage and great service history. 88800 miles£30 per year road tax50-70 mpg12 months MOT (4/4/2018). No advisories (pretty good for a 15 year old).Good tyres on 15inch wheels - wheels would benefit refurbishment, though there's nothing physically wrong with them.Interior is original (red and grey) and in good condition. Split folding rear seats. Exterior bodywork black, usual city car marks.Front fog lights.VW fitted 6 CD changer and tape deck. Power steering, height adjustable steering column and height adjustable driver's seat. The driver's window controls are temperamental (needs a new switch to fix) and rear wiper spray isn't spraying (wiper works fine).Timing belt/water pump changed at 60k miles. Recent new front brake callipers, rear brake lines and cylinders, relatively new exhaust. These are very rare and this one has been cared for - as is evident from the mostly VW main dealer service history, big folder of receipts for all work done back to 2004 when purchased from VW Stirling dealership. Car located in Edinburgh. Email to arrange viewing. £1500 ono. Thanks for looking.

  22. hello i had made another topic some time ago.I need your appreciated help again!!! after much search around Greece for 1.6 engine no avy or arc around at all. i found an ajv one from a polo with 180.000 kilometers. There is no gearbox so i need to know if i can use mine. As much i have read its an engine with 120 hp power and drive by cable(mine is also dbc).I can also buy with this the ecu,the driveshafts with the brakes and the clocks. there is no loom(i have found one on ebay for 200 euros!!!). so the questions are these; 1)can i use my gearbox? 2)i need only the engine loom right?if so any possibility used from another model?or only from ajv? 3)the driveshafts will fit in lupo?both front and back? 4)my car doesnt have abs will i be able to use? 5)are the engine mounts the same as are with avy? 6)as long as i have the ajv exhaust manifold will i be able for start to use the rest of the exhaust? 7)any other loom i can use? the engine, ecu, driveshafts and clocks will cost me somewhere around 500 euros is there anything else i will need and i forget i do?i need to have a budget on my mind to decide whats better.
