  1. Hi there! This is my first lupo and first car! Its so fun to drive and i will be doing bits to her and will update with pictures daily and possibly ask for help! Here are 2 pictures of her but i will upload more later! When i first got her, it already had coilovers and a air filter put on. Since then i have installed a subwoofer and i am hopefully going to have some wind deflectors to add soon. I have a list of things i want to do to her but i'm adding to it everyday: install new cigarette lighterde-wiper the rear windowalloyssmoke the headlightspossibly change the colour of the brake calipersfix the runners in the windowsroof barsIf you have any other recommendations then please do share and they will be greatly appreciated!
  2. Hey! This is my lovely little 1.4s OpenAir Lupo, I got her standard, ran perfectly, bar the leak from the roof (now fixed so I don't go round a bend and get soaked!) Since then I've replaced the standard 13" rims with my 15s from the golf( stupidly sold my bbs with the car -.- ) but it's worked nicer than I expected Car has also been lowered, it needed it ... I have many plans for this car, so watch this space Gee x

  4. Hello, i'm a new member hailing from the south west of england, i currently have a Black Lupo Gti, powder coated purple BBS RM's, with grill trim and carbon fibre wrapped badges to match, JOM Coilovers, JL Audio tweeters, front and rear speakers, BMC Induction Kit and personalised number plate. I have big plans for this car so watch this space. Pics below: :thumb up:
  5. Hey up I'm Adam. Heres my Arosa so far. see me about give me a toot.
  6. Hi, I have been on here for almost a year, loved Lupos for quite a while and always been into Vw's since I was a child, so its about time I got one and its happened, picked myself up a Black Lupo 1.0, saw her on Autotrader and she was in Yorkshire and I couldn't turn it down, bit far but every time I would find a Lupo for sale near me (being down in Cornwall) they would always be sold or have someone waiting to buy it, so after finding this one, I could not turn it down, and the price was great, so I called the garage up and they still had her available so after some very short decisions we put a deposit down, we were planning to collect her, but the garage had a friend that had a Low Loader and was willing to bring her down to me, this took the trouble out of getting her, so we paid and on the 30th of June she arrived at 7 in the morning. Later in the day I took to cleaning and got her shining and that was it for a couple of days.
  7. Bought a fairly shagged 1.0 lupo, money and time were tight so it's not great but potentials always there
  8. Think its about time I got one of these started... Bought the lupo a good few months back for £1520 after my MG ZR MKII got written off by six drunk kids crammed into a corsa. Its a black sport with almost 130,000 miles on the clock!! This is how it was when I first got it.. So it was already modified with 13" Smoor Roadster alloys, coilovers, K&N induction kit, smoothed bonnet and boot, badgeless grill, suede roof lining and door handles, and few stickers here and there. Had a great drive home for Perth to Dundee Only recently have I managed to get to doing my own mods, got rid of the suede door handles as they were falling apart and hanging off, had a wee go at wrapping them in leather which turned out well. Also wrapped the dials in leather as that too had been wrapped in suede which had seen better days. So a few mysteries have been found and a few surprises too! This little socked thing has been drilled into my dash and I have no idea what it is, and it turned out to not be attached to anything either. Also seems it used to have an aftermarket security system of some sort. While driving, a bunch of wires fell down from under the dash on the passenger side. And a little LED has been drilled just above the gear stick. But I did find a nice little surprise when respraying the interior door handles, the sound system has been upgraded to Alpine Type E's So now with the good weather starting to come in I've got a lot of plans set out, first of all the get the badly corroded wheels professionally refurbished and changed to a nice blood red, and get rid of the DTM mirrors and try and get my hands on a pair of stubby mirrors. Lots more to do but I'll leave it at that just now. Chris.
  9. Hello guys and girls this is my first post on here so sorry in advance if its a bit crappy. i actually bought lucy in april this year but hadn't past my test until the end of august. it took me so long to post on here because i didn't think there was any point due to not having any modifications but loads of people are doing it so why no eh? May i introduce you to lucy the lupo http://www.flickr.com/photos/106892742@N02/sets/72157637047372176/ Bought her at 101000 miles with only a leaky shock which i got fixed the next week. she's only a 1.0l but she's got a heart of gold, doesn't put a foot wrong over the past few months i haven't really done much, just kept her as clean as time will allow as i am a full time student. at first i painted the badge surround neon pink (don't ask). it looked tacky from day one i don't know what i was thinking. a couple weeks ago i paint the surround gloss black as trying to rub it down to bare plastic was gonna be difficult with some of the angles. i removed the bump strips which took like two days because some of the glue was properly hard to get off. I think since I've bought her i think the biggest mod I've done is the cupholder/coin tray. bought it off ebay for about £20 with out a single mark on it. was well chuffed as i had been hunting for one since pretty much the day i bought it. yes i know the rear head rests are missing i removed them so i could actually see decent out my rear window. i couldn't seem to get into a position that would allow me to see behind me comfortably so they're sitting in a cupboard somewhere as i never have anyone in the back anyway. for sale or swap if anyones interested thought i doubt anyone will be as they are the infamous hoop version. message me if you are interested though, heck message me even if your not. could do with some people to familiarise myself with being my first post and all. If you've made it through all of that then my question is what cheap mods would people recommend that would make this car a little nicer without having to declare it to my insurance. Not looking to do anything big just little details. thank you for reading this and again sorry if the post was a little (or a lot) crappy. my grammar and punctuation are also not brilliant i am aware of this i have slight dyslexia so don't hate.
  10. Been posting here for a few weeks and finally picked myself up a Loop GTi. It was the second one I looked at and compared t the first one, was miles better. Not perfect but given the price, I am really happy with it. It is black and completely standard OEM plus optional air con and CD player. It has only had two previous owner, the first for approx the first 11 years of its life and the second for the last year. The second owner was upgrading to an Audi S3 but not before servicing it incl plugs and putting on new brake pads and discs all round In addition to all 3 keys (2 + plastic coding key) and a full set of manuals, it also has a gigantic pile of of paperwork with the original purchase invoice, every MOT and every invoice with servicing and all done at VW for the last 12 years As I mentioned, not perfect and needs a few bits to get it perfect: - A few minor paint marks commensurate with age - Front door cards and trim showing a bit of age - Some of the tyres need changing Other than sorting out the above, I have a few additional plans for it which I would be grateful for some feedback. I was thinking of adding the following - Smoked Side Indicators - Henka wind deflectors - Carbon Fibre effect VW badge on front and back - BBS wheels with black centre and polished rims - Coilovers, maybe AP What do people think of those changes ? Are the smoke indicators and black badges too much ? And not forgotten, a couple of photos of the new baby:
  11. I'm sure that this has been asked many times but, I want to make my headlining black and I have a three questions. 1. how do I get the ****er off? b. what's the best way to do it? paint or using some black cloth and adhesive spray? 4. what happens if I fold or crease the roof lining before it goes back in? Many Thanks A Faggy Lupo Owner!
  12. Here I have for sale my Black Lupo Gti 2001 1.6 16v, this is the rare and more reliable 5-speed model. These cars have a huge following and are becoming increasingly rare! The milage currently sits at 105,000 which is low for a car of this age, it has been my pride and joy for the time I have owned it and I will be sad to see it go. This is no ordinary lupo and all modifications and upgrades have been made using the highest quality parts. It has been very well looked after and lots of money has been spent. Inside: Electric windows Air conditioning Twin cup holders Original GTI mats Red GTI seatbelts Sony Xplod Head unit Uprated door speakers All of the above work as they should and the interior is very tidy. Outside: OZ racing super tourismo wheels (some kerb marks and one of the centre caps is missing) The paintwork is very clean and shiny and looks great in the sun, paint code - L041 The VW and GTI badges have been finished in purple (looks great) The windows are tinted (front and back) Full HID headlamps and side lights On the whole the body work is very tidy, there are a couple of imperfections including a few stone chips on the bonnet and a small scuff on the passenger side rear quarter but this is to be expected on a car of this age. Performance mods: BMC CDA Air filter Long life stainless steel cat back exhaust (sounds amazing) Lowered on high quality coil overs Golf Gr60 brakes This is a brilliant example of the lupo GTI and it is very mechanically sound, starts first time every time and drives like a dream with no unusual knocks or bangs. It is also very quick and lots of fun to drive. 6 months tax 12 months MOT Full service history Since I have owned this car the following work has been carried out; New check straps on both doors New coil pack, plugs and leads Full service - July 2013 New gear box and clutch fitted See classified section for pics, £2900 Ono Sold as seen Any questions text me - 07590635644 Thanks for looking Ash
  13. Hi everyone! Im new on the Dub scene and also this forum! I had a 206 for my first car but it got written off so i got told to buy a VW and i think Lupo's are pretty cute So here it is when i first bought it, it's a little 1L as im still on my first years insurance! I took my friend with me to get his opinion of it and by the looks of that photo he liked it too! I've started with the little mods first so i sprayed my badge pink and black! I also love hello kitty as you can tell by the seats.. It's got a pretty loud exhaust as well! Im not so sure if i want to keep it or not tho. It had a problem with the drivers side door not locking from the outside using the key so we set about adding central locking that i got from a carboot for £10 and its hawks! I don't know if you can see me but im right at the top of the street and the signal is amazing! I could still lock and unlock my car from that distance! Please ignore the corsa's.. this is a friends house Some chav couldnt help themselves and pulled my sidestrips off so i had to try and get that all cleaned up! Here's me part way through spraying my rear badge! And this is the end product! My future plans are: Audi TT leather seats Cades Eros Pink alloys Coilovers Tint the rear window to match the rear two windows Pressed Plates HID's Maybe Flock my alloys Pink suede interior Pink Center console Double DIN headunit Subwoofer Pink Tinted indicators and side repeaters Any C&C would be appreciated

Cheers

  16. In Penryn in Cornwall, i was at the car wash, this black lupo parked up and after going over to talk to the guy, we began talking, he said if I remember his name was Luke. His lupo had a purple flocked speedometer cover Had Porsche wheels on And was a 1.4 16v and was pretty low, couldn't get my hand under the front arch, if anyone knows who this is i would be very grateful of info as would like to contact the guy. Cheers
  17. Hi all, This morning I did a diagnostics check on my car to find some fault codes. It came back with 11 faults :S little bit worrying! some sound serious! These are from the book supplied with the scanner. If someone could help me translate these. The numbers with no explanation don't appear to be in the book! Codes- 17852 - Cylinder #8 fuel injector circuit - open circuit 17510 - o2 sensor circuit heating circuit (B1 - 51) Short to B+ 16500 - Engine coolant temperature circuit - range/performance problem. 18010 - Power supply (B+) Terminal 30 - low voltage 16955, 16946, 17526, 16585, 16587, 16588, 16586 If anyone could help or has had similar issues I would be really grateful! Thanks, Aaron
  18. I saw a silver lupo that was slammed near a morrisons in dunstable/luton with black rims (looked like porsche twists at a quick glance) but not sure. drove past me i was in a bola green arosa with a illest sticker in the front window and a bonnet bra. just wondering if it was anybody on here!

    Tailored mats

Anyone have them and are they worth getting? Tons of them on ebay but which ones are the best? Thinking about getting some to hide my grotty carpet, its dotted with the gummy stuff on the back of the moisture guards in the doors
  20. Headlight tinting is illegal, isnt it? so if i was to buy some bulbs which were also 'illegal' would this cancel out the effect of the tint? or would i just get done twice as hard also, out of curiosity, does anyone know the brightest road legal white/blue H4 bulbs knocking around? might just treat myself to a new pair Cheers
  21. http://www.direct.go...hicle/DG_181016 Found this and it says (i think) that tint can be applied to the front windscreen. Am i right in assuming this or is this the level of tint that comes from factory. Does anyone know the percent of light factory glass lets through? Also, regarding the percentage, what do people see as a respectable level of tint because i think it looks silly having blacked out rears when your only allowed 75% on the fronts, dont want it too noticeable that the fronts and rears are different tints if you get my drift.
  22. Is this possible? because i havent seen it done before. Is there anywhere to paint, because it looks like it is all the reflector. If anyone out there has painted them, post pictures please because im curious as to how this would be done Cheers.
  23. finally got my Lupo Tdi, its my second car, the first was a 1.0 red seat arosa travelled 14 hours from Leeds to Cardiff and back to get her home the guy lied quite a lot when selling the car as it had lots of scratches, some quite deep, as well as the paint being down to the primer on the front bumper. Also on the way home i had gearbox problems, it wouldnt go from 5th to 4th or 4th to 3rd, yet it would do 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th so this was a real worry as it proved dangerous on the motorway. Yet when the car was cold or going below 20mph the gears worked fine He's a black tdi with full colour coded interior, which means blue/black leather seats and headrests, leather gaiter and handbrake cover, leather upper door cards, leather stitched steering wheel, cup holders, heated seats, sport alloys etc etc after a four hour clean: my old car: still lots to do so i'll keep you posted: - bee sting ariel - colour code badge - paint callipers - sort out paintwork - fix gearbox (if i can?) - clean interior (boot full of dog hairs) - Fix speakers (cracked) - paint door handles (scratched) - New alloys - Lowering - new Grill - rear spoiler - re-map? thanks for taking the time to look, any comments would be appreciated

    My Arosa

Hey Guys, I'm martyn, i'm 17 and have a 1.0 seat arosa as my first car:) i've been on here a while now and not done a thread yet, so put it in the 'new members' section. This is my arosa on the first day i picked it up! I straight away debadged it, and cleaned it up Then de-wipered it:) Got some DIN type cupholders off lupoboz, and a JVC headunit free off my sister, and bought a fli trap 12" sub! Then i got some Lupo rears off ebay for £26 inc. delivery! Then bought a sheet of some 3m carbon wrap and some aero wipers:D Plan on getting coilovers soon, and maybe g60s as i don't like the tsw's that are on it! Let me know what you think, cheers!
  25. Just wondering what 'cheap little things' people do and stick in on and around their rides to make them their own - by cheap little things i mean the likes of air fresheners, tax disc holders, stickers, little DIY mods and whatnot. Not tacky crap! In addition to what you've done, it would be nice to know some online stores/places to acquire these miniature priced delights. Ill start things off with a little list of stuff i have found on the interwebs that i desire greatly: http://www.touge.co....ssories-9-c.asp - I personally have the grenade and turbozilla air fresheners, would recommend turbozilla http://www.itsproper...or-accessories/ http://knockingshop..../air-fresheners http://southrnfresh....outhrnfreshener https://www.dubkorps...rt/store/decals http://www.magoo-design.co.uk http://fatlace.3dcar...m/Car_c_85.html http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_4014wt_1166 - (If the link dies it is grison black leather and vinyl dye) I used this to refurb my wing mirrors and lower bumper sections since they were just black plastic, took a few coats but worked a treat, now these parts look new. Would highly recommend. "What have you done to your arosa" i hear you ask? well clublupo, im a student and can barely afford to run my car as it is which is why i made a post about cheap little things, note the words 'cheap' and 'little'. Back to the point, i've de-badged my boot, removed bump strips, got a de-badged front grill, a couple of air fresheners, some cheap car mats, cleaned the carpets (not very well hence the mats), re-blacked exterior black plastics and fitted a boot build (on the cheap). What have you done?..
