  1. Hi i am looking to buy some alloys for my MK1 arosa. ive seen some and they are 13" 4x100 5.5J ET43. would these fit or would i need spacers?
  2. For sale is a pair of pop out rear windows for a lump / arosa. Come with the seal which is in good condition. I can fit a 15% dark tint to them but will cost extra. looking for £50 collected from nuneaton CV10 area. Thanks x
  3. Hello! i haven’t been on here since 2010. I used to own a Seat Arosa 1.4 sport, made the bad decision of doing a swap for a crap car, and I’ve missed the arosa ever since! Searched high and low for another one but still couldn’t find one. yesterday, I seen a Lupo GTi and ended up buying it ? I miss these little cars, got some big plans with it ? opinions?
  4. Hi there, I need help with a very loud and distressing wheel speed noise. It's there wether in gear or not, only with the wheels turning. Clutching has no effect on it. It sounds, as far as I can tell (and a couple of different passengers) to be coming from the front passenger side wheel, with some vibration noticeable through the foot well. I've had the front up and listened with a Dowell while the wheels are driving, and the gearbox and drivers side knuckle make a kind of sshsshssh noise which I would associate with dry or very slightly worn bearings. While the passenger side knuckle makes a crunchy clunkey noise. Thing is that I've now changed the p side bearing twice, and the knuckle (I scragged the original) and drive shaft with no definite change. having done the bearing both times found the hub nut not tightened all the way after a few miles, despite Having wound the Bearing in with a puller and torqued up the nut. Car is 2001, 115k and the noise was audible but mild 10k ago and now is incredibly insistent. I need Help as I'm about to drive from Somerset to Wales, towing 700k, and don't want a failure on route. Or a catastrophic gearbox failure. And would love to take it to 200+k I guess I'm asking what it might be, or what I did wrong fitting the bearings to cause them to fail prematurely (10's or hundreds of miles) fag bearings All help greatly appreciated, any questions just ask. I could make a recording but when I have the exhaust shielding rattle and console squeak largely drowns it out. Thanking you kindly, Joshhert
  5. Hello all, I have finally pulled the trigger on something I’ve always wanted to do, a fully stripped track car built by me. I’m an electrician by day so I kinda know what’s going on but, I’m no mechanic! If your interested in pictures you can skip my boring intro! If you have some time and bored you can read it, it’s quite interesting hahaha!! So I used to have a GTi, some moons ago: But never had it long enough to do anything I wanted, thanks to 2 kids! So 2 years and a house later I got permission to build a track car. It’s going to be slow but, built by me and how I want it. So looking for a cheap base, doesn’t matter about engine as future plans for engine swap, wanted something that drove so I could get it home and that’s about it ?. Found one in MK 1.5hrs from home so me and the family took a trip to have a look and it turned into an ikea trip (as they do). The car is in an ok state for its age, but it’s been chaved at some point. Slammed on its ass on coilovers, the state of them is questionable! Being sold so cheap because it kept overheating, but driving over 50 it kept cool, luckily motorway driving was fine apart from the broken exhaust. Broken at the front flexi basically meant no exhaust at my feet! No heat through the vents either meant a cold, loud, dark and hopeful drive home! It kept cool until some roadworks where I had to pull off and find another road home! Oh and the steering wheel has been changed so if I did have a crash no airbag for me, luckily the family where in the Bora safe! Got home 30 mins after them as I couldn’t take going over 70 as it got too loud ? tried to pull into the parking space next to my house and beached it... dragged it off and abandoned it outside, I live in a quiet state so a 1.0 Slammed Arosa with no exhaust it a bit out of the norm!! Managed to get it into the car port/drive just as the road and paths haven’t been finished leaving the kerbs high!! So bits I know are wrong: - Overheating, it’s the temp sensor not kicking in the fans/cooling system properly. - Difficult to get into gear, new clutch cable haven’t been adjusted properly. - No air filter, realised when I got home (Knew something was missing!!) - Whatever damage being that low has caused! Its going to be some work but, it’s going to be fun to get stuck into something! But for £150 and an MOT till October what Can I complain about ? Thanks for reading, comments are welcome! Sam
  6. Hi Guys, Yet another addition to the endless threads about engine conversions for the Arosa / Lupo. Ive been given a 1.0 Arosa that has great sentimantal value to m. I had always intended doing a major conversion on it when I got it, like a 1.8t or the likes however seeking the work involved ive been turned off the idea. Recently a 1.4 tdi arosa of the same year has come up for sale, and I wondered if anyone has done the 1.4 tdi conversion on the 1.0 petrol or if theres any info out there ?? This is really just a spare car to have around, and perhaps used on the occasional commute to work but it definately needs more power and the 1.4 tdi route seems the way to go given the tunability and torque. All info appreciated
  7. For Sale: Seat Arosa 1.0S 106k FSH Regularly serviced loads of receipts Full MOT as of last week Lupo GTI interior Lupo rear lights Colour Coded Shark Fin Aerial JOM Coilovers Sub & Amp Recent front tyres and tracking, 2 rear tyres are good too. New car forces sale, cracking little car served me well over the 7 years had no problems, text message 07859433407 for more details. £700 ono will listen to sensible offers.
  8. I have owned my little Arosa since 2003 and sadly time has come to pass on ownership. I have changed jobs and moved to live near where I work - I don't need a third car anymore. Will be sad to see it go. This car brought me to membership here back in the day. Make: Seat Model: Arosa MOT: 25 February 2018 (https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/) TAX: Buyer responsible Engine size: 998cc Fuel type: Petrol Description including modifications: 3rd owner from new. Commuter car, so low mileage which can be verified from the above MOT history link. Service pack, 2 keys, and lots of receipts held. Had a lot of extras from new - believe it was a demo model, central locking, ABS, Air con, adjustable steering wheel, 5 speed, genuine Seat floor mats and aftermarket overmats. Car has been maintained to high specs. Last major work Aug 2015 when camshaft was replaced (worn on one rocker), and a full timing belt/water pump change carried out. Approx mileage was 85k when this was done. Had a comprehensive service undertaken including spark plugs and leads. Discs and pads are still good for many miles (had Brembo items fitted many years ago and have hardly worn them). Very good tyres all around - rears look barely used. New middle and rear exhaust (Jan 2017). The car is in good condition for it's age, has marks and dings you would expect for a London car that occasionally receives unwarranted attention from yobs in passing. Interior is reasonable but can be cleaned up - the drivers seat bolster is showing some slight wear, and the interior has a few marks and scratches. There is slight bubbling on the rear wheel arch and a scratch on the other following an encounter with an exposed cable. Have done some motorway miles recently and car handles really well on the motorway at the legal speed limit. Location: Potters Bar / Croydon - car is registered in PB where I used to live, and as I have moved can also be seen where I now live if easier to get to. Images: See and judge for yourself Price: £*** ovno (may include some extras). Call beeftex (Rifa-Cat) on 07934 464 058 or send me a text message.
  9. Hi everibody. First of all, I hope to make myself understood, since my English is full of rust. Here's my Arosa, LHD. I bought it on july, and it's really useful to feel a bit younger (I'm 43). After a full service (with timing belt and cam belt) I installed a coilover kit, lowering the car of approx. 35 mm. The wheels are 7x15 ET 35, the tyres are 195/45-15 (the best size I can choose in my country without being out of law). Made some fixes to leather trim. The future plans are about a full exhaust system with a 200-cell cat, better brakes, something for the intake and camshafts, ECU remapping. Moreover, some additional gauges, sporty pedals and so on. By now I can't help but say... CIAO! Guido
  10. The day has come to sell my Arosa as I've now bought a new car. I've owned the car since November 2014 and covered approx 25k in it since. It also has a huge amount of receipts/past MOT's and the V5C in my name and the original 2 keys (one with locking buttons). Pictures here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seat-Arosa-Sport-100bhp-Big-spec-lots-of-upgrades-/142382581436? Spec is as below; - 1.4 100bhp sport AUB 109k - doesn't burn a drop of oil. - Custom Chrome exhaust cat back - Direnza stainless manifold - AP coilovers - 12 months old in perfect order. - Whiteline rear anti-roll bar - Rota GRA 15x6.5, rare now in 15' as they only make them in Subaru size now, with brand new rota caps (perfect condition refurbed in Jan) - Yokohama S Drives 195/45/15 - bought new when wheels were done - 20mm H&R rear spacers. - Momo 300mm, red stitching with a genuine boss and yellow horn button. - Kode red gear knob - Alpine CDE235bt Bluetooth stereo - Cambridge rear lights - Brembo discs front and back, green stuff pads (front) Brembo (rear) - Heko wind deflectors - Dash vents painted splash effect, they look nice (people always ask about them), but to be honest they're not the best finish. - Really decent rubber car mats Recent parts fitted, most/all will have a receipt... - New ignition leads (bigger and don't fit holder) - New battery - New coil pack - New tyres - S Drives - Brake light switch - Rear Brembo pads - Wishbones, ball joints & track rods - Tracking done at A-line with the printout. Serviced in my ownership every 5k with Castrol / Mobil 1 oil and decent parts - not all stamped but lots of receipts from Motorfators with the reg number for service parts. Last service was one was 2k ago. Bad bits... - Bodywork is tatty at the best. Loads of lacquer peel and about 7 shades of yellow. - Rear arches look like they were rolled by a blind person paint has cracked. also paint has flaked off around the rear number plate. - the lip on the sills on both sides are bent/damaged (used as a jacking point by someone), not really an issue but you can see it. - Windows have a mind of their own but always work, drivers one sometimes needs to be asked twice or need a hand halfway up. Passenger one opens only with passenger switch. - Rear right caliper sticks on slightly sometimes and can hear it, still stops as it should. - At some point, the engine light has been taped over, and it is on (can see it in the dark) because of exhaust lambda readings, but the car drives spot on. I also have lots of parts for lying around for it, that will come with the car if the buyer wants, including original seat 5 spoke alloys. Now I know roughly what this car will break for, but I don't have the time or can be bothered to do it. So grab a bargain on the whole lot. No swaps. CASH ON COLLECTION £750 ono
  11. Hi guys, Someone have a guide for modify the front seats of Recaro S3 8L for fit on Lupo Arosa? I've found the electric pin for move them. If I cut the orginal guide, can I fit Recaro aftermarket guide specific for Lupo or Polo 6n2 3 door? Thanks
  12. Okay, i'm pretty rubbish when it comes to electrics so any help would be greatly appreciated. The original speakers in my '98 Arosa were pretty naff so I got my hand on some '03 Ibiza speakers for free. The clips are the same but the wiring is different. Here's some photos; Arosa Wiring Wiring from Ibiza This issue is that there doesn't seem to be the same power going to new speakers as there was when they were in the original car. Is this because the headunit in the Ibiza was able to give more power or is it due to the fact that there's less wiring/wiring is different? As mentioned ANY help on this would be greatly appreciated!
  13. Hi All, This is my first post on this forum! I'm after a bit of advice please. I need the passenger side front hub assembly unit. On some models of Seat Arosa they have cast in callipers, on others they are bolt on callipers. I'm after a bolt on for my 1.4 TDI seat arosa but they appear to be quite rare. I wondered if perhaps the Ibiza or 1.4 Diesel Lupo or Polo perhaps would have the same as I require, which is the bolt on. Thanks in advance everyone!
  14. Hi all! Been browsing the Club Lupo forum for a couple of weeks now and decided to make an account since I'm going to look at and hopefully buy an Arosa this weekend. Has anyone here used Ingenie Blackbox insurance? or Ingenie insurance in general? They've gave me a great quote compared to what I've previously got and wondered if they're a decent company? How much over the speed limit can you go before you're penalised? Some black boxes let you go 30mph over but it looks like Ingenie is quite harsh with it, not sure though that's why i'm asking. Also, anything else I should know about Lupo's/Arosa's before I go to view one? Anything I should look out for? I'm not a mechanic but I'd like to say i'm pretty car knowledgeable for an IT Student haha Driving and cars are my motivation in life tbh, been a 'petrolhead' since very young. In case anyone's curious: Quote from Ingenie was £1,090 and my previous quote was £1,306. The car i'm going to view is a 2004 Arosa S.

    Hello All

Hi Everyone, just bought myself a 1.0 Arosa S as a first car and itching to mess about with it! I plan on keeping it fairly standard looking, maybe some 15" alloys and lowering springs. If anyone can recommend some cheap and worthwhile mods I'm all ears!
  16. Will it fit? I'm picking up a replacement tailgate tomorrow from the scrappy to swap onto my series 1 Arosa. My plan was to swap it over in the yard but in case I can't do that on site I was hoping someone might know if I can fit the tailgate in the back of the Arosa (enough) to drive in home and do all the swap and strip down at home. Before anyone 'helps out' with measuring it really I want to know if it fits in practise rather than in theory. Thanks, danny
  17. Afternoon All New to the site and not actually a Lupo nor Arosa owner yet but am currently looking, aiming to pick one up before the end of May, hazar! So yes hello, I'm South Wales based although I travel for work so may some of y'all on the road. If any of y'all have a yearly running cost of the 1.4 TDI Sports trim (Lupo) or the standard Arosa diesel that would be great, just going of guesstimates right now but want something more concrete before I purchase
  18. Right, so I recently purchased a 2002 Seat Arosa. Overall it was a tidy apart from odd scuffs and imperfections expected from a 14 year old car. But after switching front bumpers I've noticed the front end doesn't line up properly and it's really starting to bug me. I have a feeing it's been in a collision on the drivers side at some point in its life, but was just wondering if there was anything I can do to rectify it? Or will I just have to live with it? Can provide pictures if you want to see. Thanks in advance.
  19. Anyone have a spare gear knob? Round style. Also Interior Door Handles Lupo or Arosa in Black. It's for a Mk1 Arosa. Based in Northern Ireland but happy to pay postage.
  20. Hi I've got a 03 seat arosa which the brake lights will not go off I've checked the fuse and that's working I also changed the brake light switch and still have had no luck I am exchanging the switch tomorrow as it may be faulty as when I take the switch off completely the lights go off. I want to keep my mind open to all possibilities is there anything else that could be keeping them on btw this is my first car and I'm 18 lol need to get my car in the road asap appreciate any suggestions and help
  21. hey i'd like to know if 15" 8j 10ET alloys would fit nice or will i have to roll arches and if they would poke out. thanks jake
  22. Hello! I'm curious about two thing's in my arosa and I hope someone could help me. I changed brake pads and discs. Choosed TRW kit - 256mm discs and 119/69.5/16 pads. What I think is wrong is that there's a lot of space between the pad and brake disc center. I searched on internet and founded pictures where it look's the same but I don't know if it needs to be like that. I have two arosas. On one brakes work perfect but on the other one it isn't ''touching'' all of the brake disc surface. Here are the brakes on both of mine arosas - (both uses same parameter pads and discs) The second question (as you can see in the image) is that - how the brake carrier should look like? When I bought them on one the brake carrier looked up but on other it looked down (red circle in pictures) Maybe it would be would be easier if someone posted image of his own TDi lupo/arosa front brakes. Thank you.
  23. Brand New box of PAGID brake shoes for a lupo/Arosa 4 shoes for drum brakes, bought but never fitted from ECP, for about £40 or something. in Blackpool, cant post for £8 or pick up from Blackpool/Barnoldswick (in between) looking for £25.
  24. First post here, hoping for advice on what alternator I need for a SEAT Arosa 1.0 (AER,6H) 1999/T (with PAS, no A/C). Perhaps stupidly I removed the old one which was fitted by the previous owner but turned out to be faulty. I returned it as I had the receipt to Eurocarparts for cash. Then later went to buy the replacement which doesn't fit. I have tried several from Eurocarparts now and none fit. Also none of the ones I have tried seem to align the bottom bolt hole with anything on the engine. I can't remember if I even took a bottom bolt off of the old one! Whoever I ask (even SEAT) cannot tel me what I need without the old one to hand and they are normally faced with a list of 12 or so to choose from with no details available. At the moment I have bought a used Bosch 028 903 025 G form a breaker. The top bolt seems to fit yet the bottom bolt hole on the alternator still does not align and it is a 70A not a 90A like the previous one (something I do remember). Any help appreciated to get me out of what should have been a simple job.
  25. Been on the forum for about a year now but have never got round to posting much about my own wee arosa, so here goes: Bought it March 2010 with only 23000 miles on it absolute steal for a 51 plate. Just been doing subtle upgrades as i'm a rather skint student Passed my test in March and havent stopped driving since, love my wee car Mods so far: Badgeless front grille Stubby Aerial Apex springs dropped 40mm Kenwood head unit Replaced front speakers and fitted rear speakers Scorpion Exhaust K&N air filter Black rear Arosa lights and indicators Pop out rear windows Wind deflectors 15" Viper alloys on 205 T1R proxes Painted calipers Still to do: Spray and fit spoiler Spray front and back bumper Re-spray bonnet Buy bonnet bra Now for the pics The day I bought it Once home after a good clean New headunit, front and rear speakers More pics to come
