  1. Hi there, I'm looking to buy 2nd hand GTI alloys for my 1.4, is there anyone with any for sale? I've looked on classifieds but just thought I'd ask on the forums! preferably in decent condition and colour doesn't matter! thanks from Lewis
  2. hey guys im brad, and this was charlie #1 until his clutch broke and was too much for my to afford alongside my insurance renewal.. My old corsa before that: 1.2 petrol (photoshopped but how i would've got it) My old arosa before the corsa: 1.7 sdi My living room when i had this My DERV Corsa: 1.7 CDTI But enough of my old cars, here's Charlie #2 - my 1.4 lupo: Spec List (I will update this as it goes along) -75hp version - Pop out windows - FK highsports - Now sold as i needed it higher for where i live - Remapped - BMC CDA air filter - GTI injectors + inlets - Manky oil breather (will be replaced soon) - Snowflakes for wheels (i'm getting new ones at some point) - GIANT EXHAUST (see picture) The day i collected it: After a good clean: Then came some lovely photos with my camera.. And then came the steelies (that got rusted onto in a matter of 3 weeks which are now gone) Anyone who knows me, or has met me will know i'm amazing at parking. (Bluewater meet) Excuse the crappy quality of this but i wanted to try a bonnet bra on, and luckily jay had one to lend me Since then i've had some bad luck, as in wrecked the bottom of my car + exhaust completely as well as taking chunks from my front bumper, as of which i have sold my fk highsports which i couldn't adjust as they are a bit unlooked after. But here's some more pics of the car with my girlfriends car whilst im doing the suspension. I have more progress on my phone etc but i will upload in time. I will post plans if asked. Look forward to hear from you!
  3. Had a look at it when it was parked and then saw you when you were leaving, Lady owner, i was in a purple nissan.
  4. So my beloved 1litre is nearly dead. Anyone know any companies out there that will source an engine and swap them for me? And does anyone know if it's possible to swap from 1.0 to 1.4 with ease, like is or just a mount change or are the shapes completely different? I live in South Wales of anyone knows anywhere local... Thanks.
  5. hey guys, i'm brad, I'm a manager at subway and this is my lupo, his name is mikey! He is a 1.4l 75bhp version! He has a supersport custom exhaust system, with GTi injectors + inlets with a bmc cda air filter with blue piping! The car did come with coilovers when i bought it, but sadly the shocks were blown + were rusted in place! Thats when i got it home and cleaned it for the first time! I didnt like the snowflakes, so i got some steels, but these were temporary, so the snowflakes came back! at the local lupo meet! Then a tyre blew up, so space saver for a while until i got paid! sadly the bumper had been in a fight with someone so it looked like this for a while Engine shot.. (now all covered up) As the bumper was ruined i thought, why not have some fun and learn some stuff about body filler and what not! The bumper was yellow and the black had been spray painted on so was chipped off when stones hit it so it took quite a bit of work! Getting there! Not a great finish i know but Interior for a while Got to painting interior parts (they were signal green) Then i loved it, so thought snowflakes too - as you can see the car is a 4x4 at the mo as im waiting to lower it again! Then got to using a cheap machine polisher and some meguiars... A Little tease for the next few days Hope you like
  6. After a 121mile each way I finally picked up a Sport as I've been after one for a couple weeks. It's not exactly in the best condition body-wise as the previous owner's ex girlfriend kicked in both rear 1/4s, boot, bonnet and a wing. But I got it quite cheap My mate had hardly used pads and discs off his polo gti so I decided to fit them but the discs were too thick!! Bought some standard discs in the end but still used the green stuff Mods: - Coilovers (not sure what they are but theyre comfy) - K&N Air filter - Catback system Plans: - Replace engine - Make the car mechanically sound - Sort out bodywork - 15" Ronal Turbo's
  7. This thread follows a legendary build completed by a well-known VAG guru. Original thread which I sourced: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=62722&st=0 2 years down the line, this '1.0 litre' Mk1 Arosa has fell upon my possession. It is a well known car in the local area, and many people have had the privilege of driving it. Spec: 1.4 6N AFH K&N cone air filter A3 bushes (I believe..) Front coilies / chopped rears - unknown shocks BBS 15" Corbeau bucket seats Custom rear strut G40 steering wheel 16v brakes Shortened bike can There's probably more... My intentions are to bring this car back to its former glory.. As it stands, it's a bloody eye-sore. I shall post some pics when the opportunity arises so that you guys can see the transformation since the above thread, as I'm sure you'll be interested
  8. Hi all, I new here but thought this is the best place to get a awnser. My 1.4 16v 2000 ish VW lupo, is a poorly girl. . The first of these problems was someone had taken out the window mechanism and replaced it with wood. Got it fixed, worked for a week. Now stuck. Second problem was the whole exhaust dropping off while driving. Embarrassing and inconvenient, luckly near my birthday, so i got a new one as a pressent. My mechanic told me getting that replaced would make sure it passes its mot next month. Well... I took her in again to get looked at, the check engine light had come on and was worried Yeaterday i was told there was no hope for the poor girl. All the sensors are worn and the best thing to do is "run it to the ground." This being my first car and only buying her for a grand, I though I might aswell. But deep down, I really like this car. The engine is spot on and everything is so sound. So, here is my proposal, and i need you opinion. Should I save up and get her fixed? I was quoted £800/£1000 Or Should I cut my losses, "run her to the ground" and get another car? I bloody love lupos and possibly would get another one. With the widow and a few dents in her, i cant see myself getting anything at all for her, but to buy another one (same size same year) it gunna cost me a fair bit. Possibly more that its gunna cost me to repair her. Its estimated she will run for another year or so, but i need an opinion now as I should get some saving started regardless. Or can anyone give me any advice on what to do? Im a lady lupo drive and honesty have no clue about cars (apart from I know what a cam belt is and I check my oil once a week ) Thanks you reading and i really want to hear your opinions. Oh and sorry about my bad spelling

  13. Selling my genuine Pipercross Viper carbon fibre cold air feed and induction kit. I am only selling due to returning car to standard specification. This cost £250 new, and is similar to the BMC CDA intakes but higher quality, and real carbon fibre. It was fitted to a 1.4 sport, and sounded lovely! Here is a link to the site: http://www.lkperformance.co.uk/induction-kits/pipercross/pipercross-viper-induction-kit/368415?carId=176840 And description: "Viper air intake unit The technology used in the Pipercross Viper was first seen on the famous Lotus 340R, but soon became available for an ever increasing range of popular road cars. Using 'velocity air force', each Viper air intake directs cold air directly into the engine. The cold air feed takes air from an area of cold, dense air straight into the Viper's inlet, swirling it through a unique Pipercross reverse-flow air filter contained within a carbon fibre heat shield, then into a ram pipe to increase the air pressure before feeding it into the induction system. The carbon fibre heat shield protects the air charge from under bonnet heat keeping it cool -and therefore more dense -thus introducing more oxygen into the combustion mixture, giving increased power. The reverse flow technology filter and 150mm ram pipe make use of the physical phenomenon of air tending to move towards surface area's, creating more air flow on the edge rather than in the centre of the inlet. The unique design of the filter cone and the inlet 'tune' the moving air flow to increase its speed and therefore its pressure maximising the laminar air flow into the engine, again resulting in increased power. Sealed unit cold air intake Genuine carbon fibre heatshield Reverse flow foam filter element Noticeable improvement in mid range performance Highly polished alloy components combined with deep weave carbon fibre for great under bonnet looks" I am asking £120 Location: Corsham, near Bath Contact: Please feel free to PM or call/text 07837 892836
  14. Hi, the time has come where I can finally afford the car I wanted to get before I got this so my baby is going up for sale to fund it! Has been extremely well looked after in my ownership and is in mint condition After spending a couple of months searching for the right car I found this little gem in Mansfield with a company called 'Small car Company' with FSH HPI clear and 1 woman owner since new, bought the car on 47,348 miles for £2,700 with all purchase receipts to prove. Spec; (WILL NOT SPLIT ANY PARTS SORRY) 54k on the clock, will rise as it's daily 2002 1.4S (75bhp) in Reflex Silver FSH not including this years most recent service as I've done it myself! (service items detailed below) but does include MOT certificate for this year and engine service in march this year HPI CLEAR Logbook with FSH included RECENT SERVICE includes new air filter, fuel filter and oil filter with oil change, a new pencil coil (also have an extra spare included in sale - £20 a piece) as well as new OEM brake disks and pads (also had an engine service professionally at C-G Autos (10/03/2011) with receipt and stamp to prove) GEARBOX recon and rebuild 18/02/2011 at 49k miles at the cost of £420 including 2 years warranty (still has 16 months warranty left with cleckheaton gearboxes - with all receipts and warranty slip included CLUTCH was also replaced with new original VW parts at Rhodes Motors Clutch Specialists in Halifax (14/02/2011) at cost of £280 with receipt to prove and so is good for another 60-70k RECENT MOT by Charlie Brown's in Halifax literally this weekend gone, flew through and of course have certificate. SUSPENSION includes £400 AP coilovers (can get you as low as you need and ride very well; from experience with cheap coilovers that I had initially bought) currently fitted to car as well as standard suspension (still in complete working order with all parts boxed and ready to take away WHEELS include Compomotive TH-monos with good 195/45/15 tyres (4-5mm all round) currently off the car (to avoid road salts and bad weather) wheel spec is 15x8 et25 with spigots for VW centre bore, have been repolished to mirror finish rather than diamond cut so they are easier to keep clean and IMO look better, these wheels are spotless and dont have a mark on them. I also still have the original receipt from rimstyle in 09/2010 at the cost of £684 and they are only 13 months old now. I will also include the original 13" steels and spotless trims, its a set of 5 all with good 175/60/13 tyres on INTERIOR includes full leather interior worth £1,500; ford RS turbo Recaro front seats and the rest at GTI spec (rear seats, all 4 door cards and parcel shelf) the rear cards have speaker mesh so you can fit rear speakers, I haven't done so), parcel shelf has had the dip/groove filled in and trimmed and looks great. All leather is BMW red nappa with diagonal stitching. Leather is only about 3 months old and will come with 2 front seat covers EXTERIOR has a smoothed front bumper reg recess, legal pressed plates, rub strips and badges removed, rear badge has been split with black backing painted reflex silver to match car de-wiper with glass blank at rear and aero wipers up front rolled and flared arches all round Paint is very good with only one mark, being on the bootlid next to the window on the passenger side pillar, very small and only noticeable up close and probably wouldnt bother most people but I like things to be clean Roof lining trimmed in black damask and dash trim painted textured dark red to match leather Sale will include uprated door speakers and unfitted tweeters which are all Alpine IIRC, as well as a 900W EDGE active sub and Kenwood headunit (can find full details if required) - also including original VW 2 part stereo with tape as well as CD player I've had the chassis notched on drivers side to allow lower ride height without fouling the drive shaft on the chassis, its a really neat job (picture is mid process before corrosion protection was applied so it is now a primer grey colour) Car has camber shims set at maximum 1.5 degrees fitted on the rear to get the compos tucked in, doesnt effect handling at all, if anything it feels more planted in corners literally the only bad thing about this car is that the tax is due 31st Nov! Car is spotless inside and out, feels solid as a rock and runs great as its very well looked after and whenever a problem arises its fixed ASAP Price is £4,000 EDIT FORGOT TO ADD PICTURES, DUH. How it will look when you turn up (i.e winter mode ) Interior shots Car shots only shot I have from back end to show all reds, dewiper and colour coded badge :S Wheels If you want pictures of anything else give me a shout and I'll get them for you £4,000 WILL NOT SPLIT ANY PARTS SORRY No rush for sale, no timewasters RING 07812212822 or reply on here or PM since I'm on pretty much every day anyway Cheers, Max

  16. Hi, new to the site and new to the Volkswagen and Lupo scene! I brought my lupo for a bargain price of £850! Althought she's got a bit of discolouration and a few knocks (and after having an entire new exhaust and brake system fitted) but she's a beaut and runs lovely. I was wondering if anyone could advise me on some mods? I have a few ideas myself: white roof, white wheels (cav slabs, yellow bbs, polo bbs split, vintage star mag or RONAL TEDDYS!), smoothed boot, coilovers and I've already got colour coded bumpers thankfully. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated and I could also do with a point in the right direction with the coilovers on top and reliable makes etc.
