Had a look on the official site and it looks like you're right about them being 5 doors only and the mk2 front end. Still doesn't put me off too much. I'd love an original mk 1 but unfortunately don't have the money for a mint example and don't have the skills to restore one.

Anyone heard of these. Basically its a mk 1 shell with an updated interior and engine etc. They are still being sold in south africa by volkswagen. Anyone know if anyone in the U.K has imported one or if it is possible to do i.e will it end up costing silly money after the car, shipping and insurance (not sure if insurance is higher on an imported car). It's good but half the songs aren't great. To say it's genius or a classic is a bit too far. Slim Shady LP is a classic and so is Marshall Mathers LP. Wish he would bring out an album like that again. The best song is DejaVu. Can't get enough of it. But as said there is quite a few 'half-good' songs.

The one's you have posted look a bit 'boy racerish'. I find most things with the cars branding on them to not look great. Go for plain black and just keep them clean. Avoid chequerplate lol.

You should try being a bit different and not getting wheels at all. It should also give you a cool spark effect and will be really low. Dont follow trends. Set them. Only you can choose wheels for your car. If you want suggestions look at the readers rides threads or google images.

Dont like the red lip. The shade of red looks weird.

Splines. Like torx sockets if i remember correctly.
