Thermostat changed, well I should say thermostat added there was not one there! So far I have changed the tempreture sensor and the thermostat and cleaned the throttle body, but still the car stalls and idles very low until warm, and always stalls when reverse parking, this has me stummped now.

Job done!

Sorry if I have missed this somewhere but I have looked. Where is the thermostat on the 1.4 Lupo and how do I change it? My list of jobs starts to get smaller then I find something else wrong
-
Really need help on this one it is driving me mad

Has anyone had problems with low idle and stalling on cold start? Once engine warm idle is perfect.

OK you win, my baby is loosing her wiper today!

Temperature gauge not moving form cold

Sensor now replaced and gauge working a treat, problems all getting sorted slowly. Changing this and sorting the stuck spring and idle now at 800, fantastic. -
I noticed the same problem on mine when servicing it yesterday, I was told that really speaking it is an engine replacement job.

Engine revs around 1200 at tick over

The spring in the carb was stiff, sorted it out and works a treat now, other than the rev's drop very low sometimes when in reverse and it stalls, will get used to it though. -

Problem solved, car now at around 800 on tick over. It had nothing to do with the temperature sensor. -

Thank's for the advice, it does not do it every time I use the car, but if it starts to do it more often I will take the fuse out, like you said until I figure something out, this is not on the top of my thing's to do list. I changed the stereo yesterday so I know have my face off CD working thank god, I can't live without my CD's. -
Lol yes there are thing's that work lol This is my pride and joy just need to sort a few little probs and she will be perfect.
-
Has anyone got any ideas why the rear wiper would not work? it is not the fuse.

Believe me this is my car and will remain my car my hubby aint getting his hands on it, he has his own car. Lol
