  1. why? where is the problem? all sensors on my engine are the same, on gti there is a vcc, but the other are the same, why the car don't work with the gti ecu? uhm...
  2. my project is to install the manifold & TB on my 1.4 75hp to increase the power.... the next step of my engine tuning is to install a couple of aftermarket cams... my question is: i have a gti ecu and i don't kwow if the engine run with this or not. bye.
  3. Is interesting the thing about the '96/'98 engine.... Excuse me, I don't understand well, your "BUT" about the throttle cable... I find a complete "inlet system" of gti with Drive By Wire TB... can I install that without any mod on the cable plug? My question abuot vvc is this: If I install a GTI ecu on my car (without vvc), the engine run regularly or i have any problem without vvc solenoid (it is a solenoid the thing on the head cover, on the left?)?? If I understand well a vvc system, the ecu read the inlet cam position by the hall sensor on the right side of the head cover (battery side) and I means the rpm of the angine too... If I don't connect the VVC plug, the solenoid don't run and the oil don't flow in the holes of the inlet cam... is true?! VVC is a system for change the inlet distribution (ex. +/-30°). I was read about the aftermarket cams for all models of polo/lupo, when install that, you lose the VVC function, is that true?
  4. ...I find all parts from "Stephen" of ClubPolo.co.uk for £170 (mani, throttle and complete airbox & engine cover), is it a good price? I means yes..
  5. uhm... I understand... VVT, if I install a GTI ECU is a problem... I suppose my AUA engine is VVTless... I don't understand where are difference between gti 1.6 and 1.4 75... my "dream" is a complex dream... lol... impossible?! No, you don't understand (I don't write well...), my project is to install throttle, mani, cams and ecu from gti!! I have the ecu, i'm in search for manifold... is the same on 101 and 125horsepower, understand? Waiting for me is not a problem, thanks for you important help...
  6. I have the same opinion about the EX manifold but I don't buy all I want (I have a limited money for that ), even in the future.... OK, but now I don't understand well.. lol.. the problem of being Italian! lol! But 101hp and 125hp gti manifold is the same on polo (same code, i see etka)... the 2 engine mount a mani with a lateral (on the battery side) throttle (on 75, 101 & 125hp is in the same position!). I don't understand if the manifold of gti (alu type, 036129711bs) is fittable on 75hp without mod... The cams for me is the last step, with the ecu of gti... but manifold and throttle i mount when arrive at home! Old GTI have an identical connection of throttle? and other type? Where is the difference between all type? """The only exception being the VVT plug, but this is included in the small injector loom so isn't really a problem.""" Excuse me, what is VVT, and where is the plug? you know if this manifold is compatible? I don't know the code but VW was made 2 type of mani, a plastic and a alu type.... view this photo... Do you think can i mount that on my engine? (is a 1.4 16v 6N, not 6N2 mani...) thanks! Stefano
  7. Thanks friend, no for me nothing but is not a good moment for most italian near the epicenter, beyond a hundred of died... Is not simple for me view that and not do nothing...
  8. this is a link to my topic in the tuning section: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=52765 (for moderators: if you considered that a crossposting, you can remove it and excuse me..) thanks, Stefano
  9. thanks tigz for your reply! Well, but for me, a big problem is the electronic... I don't have any idea about cabling of throttle plug... Some people install vdo throttle body from any model of the vw/audi group (ex on r32 the throttle from other...) without problem. Are you sure if the ex manifold isn't the same, on etka have the same part number, is it a mistake? Only with aftermarket cams (for my original engine), throttle body (gti), ecu (gti with original map), can i have a good increase of the power?!
  10. Hi all, I'm Stefano, from Italy! I haven't a Lupo but a Polo 6N2 1.4 75hp You have a good forum! WOW! I was registered for have some answer on my technical question about a AUA to AUB engine conversion! My english is soooo bad excuse me Stefano
  11. Hello! Can you HELP me? excuse me for this BAD english, but I'm Italian and I don't write well... but understand I have a Polo 1.4 75hp with a AUA engine. If I do an upgrade to 101hp AUB engine is possible to do? or the simply way is to mounting the brother AUB on my car? I can't change the engine, but I can replace some part... I was seen ETKA program to have an idea for my project.. The difference between aua and aub, with the same bore are (if that is correct..): ECU box, Inlet Manifold, Throttle Body, AirBox, (head and other parts, ok are different but, in my opinion, are not necessary to change.. not?) Now I have a magneti marelli ECU box with immo and trasponder chip from GTI model (polo). I suppose to change the pair of camshaft with a CatCams or Schrick kit specific for AUB head IF I can't istall the pair from 101/gti model. For the throttle I suppose if I buy a model from GTI/101 I can instal this with a simply mod on the original plastic manifold and air box. But if I found the GTI inlet can I mount this on my head? Is it compatible? thank to all, Stefano
