Do you need the block for the 1.4 engine or could you use the 1.6 block?? is it that the water ways dont line up or something??

Hey everyone, my names Joe and i come from uk-mkivs forum in peace, im looking for info about your GTI heads as im considering using one on my mk4 golf with 1.6 engine as i hear they are the same layout. Any info welcome, sorry i don't have a lupo but i do admire their beauty!!!!
