  1. Its a different type to that. I managed to get one sorted after a day of checking part numbers and a few phone calls, I found that an Alfa Romeo 166 ballast is the same part. £30 on ebay.
  2. One of my xenons failed so I replaced with new bulbs but its still not working so I'm assuming the ballast is dead. Does anyone know where I can get hold of one? I've also read that ballasts from other cars may fit? If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be a great help! Thanks.
  3. Hi guys, can anyone tell the part number for a front slampanel for a 2002 gti? I Mean the one that goes behind the radiator and hold the lights in place etc. Help is much appreciated!

  9. I will listen to offers of around £4500 without the wheels, steering wheel and headunit. The paint, rebuild and interior add up to more than that without even thinking about anything else. Grab a bargain!

  15. I will be adding more pictures today or tomorrow of how the car currently stands. Well the time has come to sell my GTI. Reason being I'd like to move out of home and free up some cash. 2002 Lupo GTI 12 Months MOT 6 Months TAX Full service history 116,731 miles which will rise as its my daily drive. The car has just had a fresh service and MOT at the same garage that rebuilt the engine last year. This included fresh fluids and filter changes etc. Also had a new rear wheel bearing and a new front wishbone. Engine 1.6 6 speed 125BHP standard. BMC carbon air intake. Exhausts UK custom stainless catback exhaust system with 200 cell sports cat and twin tailpipes.(25 Year warranty.) Audi R8 oil cap. In November 2010 the engine was rebuilt by a local VW specialist. At this time all belts were replaced etc. I'll find the receipt out and post a full list of work carried out. I also ordered new plugs, leads and a coilpack from VW. Exterior: The following bodywork was carried out by Tim @ http://www.truepaintworks.com Full respray in reflex silver. Smoothed front bumper. Arosa bootlid with MK5 boot handle and smoothed Lupo GTI spoiler.(First time this has been done) New Scirocco aerial. Smoothed lower side sills. All arches rolled and pulled slightly. Wing mirrors painted "Porsche riviera blue". Front GTI badge painted "Porsche riviera blue". Gloss black B pillars. Lupo Cambridge edition rear lights. Pop out rear windows. Delocked. Interior MK5 GTI front seats. Rear bench and rear doorcards retrimmed in genuine tartan and cloth to match. Front doorcards retrimmed in grey cloth. Polo 9N3 GTI handbrake cover. Dash inserts and vents sprayed gloss black with "Porsche riviera blue" details. Chassis & wheels Chassis notched @ Plush. 15" BBS RS 070 7j & 7.5j Stainless nuts and bolts. Stainless dishes. Genuine carbon BBS center caps. Painted "Porsche riviera blue" by Tim at True Paintworks. AP coilovers. The rear currently has rear camber shims fitted. Whitline rear anti-roll bar. Nankang NS2 185/45/15 tyres all round. This year one barrel was replaced with a genuine BBS part as it had a crack. I have loved owning every minute of this car, it still never fails to put a smile on my face every time I drive it. I have always used genuine VW parts when anything has needed replacing. It really is a genuine head turner. It does have a few bad points as every car does. Needs 2 new front tyres. I have ordered these this morning and they will be fitted on Friday. Tow eye cover missing. Again I will order one this week, and have it painted and fitted. Stonechips on the front bumper and a couple on the bonnet. I cant control this as its a daily. Lower front bumper is scuffed as a result of being fairly low. I have a spare lower front that the new owner may wish to get painted. Underneath the MK5 handle the paint has cracked. Some paint has come away from one of the rear arches. Not noticable that much so it hasnt bothered me. The only reason I cant get some of these things sorted it that i need a my car every day due to work commitments. Price. £6300 OVNO as it stands now. £5300 OVNO without the BBS. (Bring your own wheels.) Located in Leicester. 07912666873 Cheers, Ryan.

  19. Right, picked up a momo team 280mm at the weekend along with a push horn. Brand new boss arrived today. Just fitted it now, but somethings not right Removed my airbag, followed by the main steering wheel bolt to release it, i then undid the 3 torx screws holding the black plastic ring thing on with the ribbon cable inside. At this point the ribbon cable came out everywhere. Anyway, recolied the cable inside, fitted the boss, put the main bolt back in, and then the 3 longer screws momo supply. The black plastic ring didnt seem to fit "snug" though. Connected the airbag resistor and the earths and also placed in the aluminium ring supplied by momo. The horn wont sit in flush though :/ and also when i turn the wheel the horn goes off sometimes. I also have the airbag light on and my indicators dont seem to self cancel either and the steering seems stiffer but obviously thats expected. Any help greatly appreciated.
