  1. The wife is considering selling hers, 2005, totally standard 6 speed, sun roof, FVWSH, a/c, cd, heated seats, always run on super unleaded, yadda yadda, oh and just over 18,000 miles if it's of interest...
  2. I don't mind the attention the Loop gets, and if you are happy to have your car details plastered all over the internet then that's your choice. However, threads that make it obvious to all and sundry in the whole wide world where a particular car is regularly parked and its registration might (just might) lead some toerag to have a go at it. It may never happen, and I may be being paranoid and overly cautious, but who knows. We will do whatever is reasonable to keep ours safe which is why we always blank out number plates, don't give exact locations on forums, and keep it garaged when we can.
  3. I don't get on here very much, but it was a bit disappointing to see not only the reg but the current address of our Lupo plastered all over a 'spotted' thread. Perhaps the mods could consider a sticky or similar with some guidelines about what should not be included and the posters could use a bit of common sense so that we don't need a 'Stolen' thread. We don't want to lose our Lupo to some lowlife that can't be bothered to work and scrimp and save to buy one and threads that say "I've seen this Lupo parked up at such and such every day between the hours of 8 and 6" don't really help keep it safe. Cheers Blah blah...
  4. Yes, I know they're motorbikes (sorry), but I'm looking for the next project and so I thought I'd try on here as well as all the other forums I frequent to see if anyone has one has a dead one lurking in the shed that they don't want or need anymore. Anything considered, but oldish and smallish preferred ! Cheers !

    Blah.

Yes, what do you want ?? (I don't post on here much, but you called...)
  6. The company wheels With interesting headlights And the sunny day toy
  7. The wife's GTi, 05 plate, 14k on the clock, totally stock, hooooog picture...
  8. It's silver, and we've had it for about 5 years now so I'm surprised you haven't seen it about.
  9. Not all Lupos in Stafford are red... And we may be up for a visit (but not too late, small children have to go to bed (yadda yadda)
  10. So how does an old person (or any other person for that matter) drive and errr **** in a Lupo at the same time ??? and what sort of wave are you doing if not err fooking in your Loop????
  11. As a lurker, rather than a 'poster' on Club lupo, threads like these cause me all sorts of bother, cos I end up reading them from start to finish and it ends up at silly o'clock and now I've drunk all the beer I was saving for tomorrow... I've built a few things in the past, but nothing like this, you sir, you are an inspiration to us all and shows what can be done when you put your mind to it (the matter of fact way that you stripped it all down to sort the rings was mind boggling ) I really, truly hope that when you sort it, nothing else goes wrong for a very long, long time, so you can spend time wearing the tyres out at a frightening rate!! What a cracking car...
  12. Girl???? Girl????? 'Twas the wife, who's very happy at being called a girl, made her day !! thankyouverymuch oh, and it should be in very good condition, it's only done 12000 miles!!

    Hellooo

Just logged on, been lurking for some considerable time... The lupo is the wife's (can I still be a member?) It's a May 2005 05 silver GTI with factory fit CD, air con, sunroof and heated front seats (!), oh and it's only done 11k miles. Previously she had a black 1.4 16v (with an orange bettle in between) which was a cracking little motor, but this is better We bought it when it was about 3 months old with 600 miles on the clock, as the previous owner found it a bit small for him, his wife and 3 kids, he PX'd it for a Passat. I drive it when I can / allowed, and love it to bits, and now the warranty has expired I'm trying to convince her to let me get it tweaked a bit, nothing much, but to no avail, so I'll keep filling it up with Optimax and driving it in a spirited manner...
  14. I've just joined today because of this (been lurking for a while)... if you go onto their website, onto "Influx" and do a search for "future classic" there's an online pole. I've just added my vote, so it's 1 to the Lupo, and 2 to the Focus. Might be worth adding a few more? Oh, and hellooooo !
