  1. Try turning the stereo off - if it stops you have a bad earth connection.
  2. Thanks for the feedback. Looks like the adjustments they made have done the job and when something happens I will challenge their comments about replacing the lights!
  3. Hello, Recently my headlamps have been dropping down and point about 2m in front of me (which isnt nice!) and they were doing it permanently until I took it in the VW garage. Now here is where I need some advice. VW said there faults found in the 'fault memory', adjusted them to the normal height and disabled the auto levelling. Said they 'maybe faulty' and they recommend that I replace both lights (around £250 each!). I said yea right and am happy using the lights as they are. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":coffee:" border="0" alt="coffee.gif" /> has anyone experienced this before? Can anyone tell me if its normal to have to replace both lights just to sort a the self levelling of the headlamps? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> Your comments are appreciated
  4. It did. He was quite close to mine at points so must have seen my small, but perfectly formed, club lupo sticker in the rear window of my GTI style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  5. First time I have seen that silver 52 plate in Croydon. Looked very supprised to see another GTI! Followed me a little and then went into Town - any one here?
  6. Me in the 51 plate me thinks I was on the way to A3 via Burpham
  7. Wow Lupos so close to me and I never knew.
  8. Same problem here although it has got better recently. It started after a service so it might be a plug. May let my revs drop a little lower tonight and see what happens....Nice to have all the things above to try now style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  9. I remember there was a thread about this and I had this problem too. However got mine changed under warrenty. I still have the old one - can this be re-used if the right work is done on it?
  10. Woke up Saturday and found my side repeaters had been stolen from my GTI! Why! Its annoying, its the equivelent of nicking valve caps. Anyway I need another pair now and I was looking at the awesom GTI site. Now there is a pair there that look like what I had before and there is also an LED option http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/vw%20lupo/lighting.html Anyone seen the LED ones on before - do they look as good on the car as in the picture?
  11. All of the above querks present on my lupo too
  12. I found out it was the Exhaust warning light. Its a GTI happened again this morning. In third and dropped speed down enough for revs to drop to about 16-1700. Judder/judder Exhaust warning light on and then its all over once revs get up past 2k again.... Anyone with any ideas? Will take it in soon
  13. Hi, Anyone got any ideal what could be causing the following: Drving along in 2nd at just below 2k revs the cars started mildly juddering followed by a waring light on the dash. I missed it as it was only on for a second. Later I was in 4th at more or less the same revs and it started doing the same. It felt like I was losing power intermittently when I applyed more throttle, although when the power came back it felt fuller....followed by a warning light for a second again (missed it again). Any ideas....?
  14. £160 Not from VW though. Nothing major needed done just the basics I was told the belt was due at 60K So I am happy. It was a hard decision not to go to a VW garage - but then I am sure it would have been double the price with a few 'extra' supprises thrown in......Does anyone think not getting a full VW service history is not a bad thing to do?
