  1. Can people who vote provide more details/reasons. If you vote "none" please specify why. If you vote that you are interested can you please state what sort of colour you would like e.g. Blue with orange glitter. Thanks again.
  2. Yeah they are cast out of resin. There will be a wide variety of colours available along with different effects sug as glitter, bubbles, cast models etc
  3. Right, looking into the possibilities of setting up shop and making and selling gearknos and handbrake buttons. Heres the one I made on Monday. Green with pink sparkle; The finished article (needs shaping) I will try and get a better picture as it doesnt show the pink sparkle finish. At the time of writing I can't give you an exact price, but I would say; Gearsticks - £10-£20 Handbrake Buttons £5 posted probably less than this. Looking to see how much interest there is/could be before setting up shop. Opinions?
  4. Yes but car is currently away and I'm trying to find out the centre bore. I can't find anything on the net
  5. Just to bump this topic. Did anyone manage to find the centrebore of these wheels? Looking at part/x-ing my car but keeping wheels.
  6. CAR IS NOW FOR SALE PLEASE SEE CLASSIFIED SECTION.
  7. Actually, once you get talking to some Germans you will realise their sense of humour is very VERY dry. Some of the people we have met over at the 'ring are hilarious.
  8. As above, Pre 1972 means you are not only getting free tax but you can use black and silver plates. Think it was in 2009 when we went to Germany and one of the lads had a mk2 golf with german plates on it. He got pulled by the police and told to tape up the D because it was illegal, they sad if he didnt then he would have to come to the station. He did it but then an hour later removed the tape! Next day got up and walked out the hotel to find that his car now had NO numberplates. So he had to go to the police station explain his plates had been "stolen" where they produced his numberplates with the D taped up. Told him not to do it again and to "get some proper plates for zee car - you are not german why do you pretend to be?" He got home and put his old scabby UK plates on.
  9. This is something I have never understood. When I bought the wheels that are currently on my car they were fitted with Nangkang NS2's in the form of 165/50/R15. Not only do they look ridiculous but they do not perform how the manufacturer wanted them to. I have recently bought some 195/50/R15 Toyo Proxy T1R's. But then that is MY opinion, and I have always been someone who would rather go to a track.
  10. Ah ok cheers all. I only asked why you would use it as in "give me reasons and you opinion on it". I wasnt saying "why the flip would you use that stuff?". As I said I've used Halfords stuff which isn't as bad as most people think and I've also used Fuchs which is brilliant. If people are rating Mobil1 then I may get some of that though. Also, people Seem to be advising on not doing a flush as it could cause damage to bearings etc by removing X years worth of oil.
  11. Went for MOT yesterday, got a pass which was nice however I had an advisory of the NSR brake being seized?!! The MOT guy said the drivers side one span fine, but the passenger side one was a bit tough to turn. Any suggestions on what it could be before I get the drum off?
  12. Why would you use Mobil1? I have only ever used the likes of Halfords own brand (Comma) and Fuchs which I found to be brilliant. As for gearbox oil, I will be going to VW and getting it from them.
  13. Seen this a few times. Its a black Sport. Never met the owner, although by the looks of it he/she may be found down at the "Cruise"!
  14. Ok so to save starting a new thread thought I would bump this one up. I'm planning on doing an oil change and will be buying some Forte Engine Flush. I also want to drain and replace the gearbox oil. Anyone got any advice on what oil I should run on both engine and box? I have always used the Halfords brand - which is made by Comma, and never had any problems. opinions?
