  1. I've had that on my 6 speeder regularly also. I believe it is my changing gear to qwuickly and pushing it against the gate of 1st and 3rd, hence why it kicks out. Never a problem if i change more slowly and let the spring centre in between 3 and 4th.
  2. Am currently thinking about selling my Silver Lupo Gti. has Air con, is a 52 plate, and only done 10500 miles. Is this what you are after? Dave
  3. Am 22, but neither of those names ring a bell, it was a pretty big school though. It's a bad sign that you are from the Girl's high School Emma, you are obviously far too inteligent for the rest of the club! Its a pretty common concept in the local area of the lesbianism at the girls high school, much truth in reality?
  4. I live in Finchfiled, but am often in Perton, seeing friends, visiting parents. any of you lot go to Codsall High School?
  5. Hello Emma, I'm from Wolverhampton also with a Silver Lupo Gti, have only seen 1 Black GTI in the area which was missing its VW badge on the front, was it yours? Which part of Wolves are you from?
  6. Does anyone else have the problem of other drivers "flashing" them as they think I have my lights on main beam? It is really annoying and have started driving with my left hand on the left stalk waiting to "blind" them, when anyone does it.
  7. Persoanlly I don't think they are worth it, you should allegedly clean the car before you fitt the cover every time. this is intented to stop bits that you pick up from the road scratching the surface when the cover is put on it. Dave
  8. Goes back to the oringal problems with warranties, is it wear and tear or not. Can't possibly see that they can say that it is wear and tear, as head lamp washers should last for life. Had trouble with mine recently, turned out to be a blown fuse on the main curcuit board that had caused the problem. Go and give a VW dealer grief, if there unresponsive, use the usual avenues, Trading Standards, Watchdog, VW UK etc. Good luck.
  9. It basically works out for servicing, replacement of tires, and any maintainence items (items that wear out through wear and tear, but not damage) they want £250 per year. Over three years that is £750. Services cost £150 * 3 Years = £450 Brakefluid change = £60 1 Set of new tires = £105 * 4 = £420 1 Set of Brake Pades Front and Rear = £100 there are all items that I can see needing replacing within 3 years and as you can see it is £380 more than the plan. It may also need a new back box during this time which is covered on the plan. Opinions??
  10. I am considering VW's Maintainence plan, has anyone had one? Have they moaned like **** about replacing items when needed? I am forseeing frequent Tires changes which is why I am considering it, how many miles have people got to a set of tires? And the same for brake pads? Exhausts?
  11. One worry of mine is that my currently rattle free Lupo will be transfered into a rattling beast when i upgrade the ICE. How well sound proofed is the Lupo with a monster sub in the back? and also do any of the plastic interior panels rattle more after they have been taken off and then put back on?
  12. Am thinking of upgrading the Head Unit on my GTi, can someone please enlighten me on how the head unit can be removed, how easy it was, and any problems you have encountered along the way. Ta Dave
