  1. Spotted this taking it leisurely along the 62 by the Rochdale junction, whilst en route back from the footie game on Saturday. Bloke with a hat driving/grawping at my little Loop- I gave him a wave style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Didn't see the front of it, but think it was either V or Y reg - German plates and a TDI pimped up style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  2. I've got/had a few of these. My highline brake light hasn't worked since 25k miles (nearly on 50K now)- had a quote from VW the last couple services which I laughed at and have done without - though my MOT guy brings it up everytime saying it *could* fail the MOT, though he never does style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> My rear squiter also broke for around 20k miles and VW quoted something silly at the 30k service which I laughed at then at the 40K service found that it was something that didn't involve what they suggested at the 30k service and fixed it.. I squirt happily now. Now as for the windows.. they give me most joy at multistories when they do that thing where they trick you, pretend they're going all the way up, but go up then back down lol. It amuses me. There's a certain way of flicking the switch it seems.. doesn't bother me all that much. All the other knocks, noises and squeaks I'm immune to after working on a busy ward.. I don't hear things like that anymore, so sure it probably does but only my passengers comment style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> The key fob thing - very temprement (sp?), has been since I bought it, but again it's not too much of an issue apart from when it decides not to work when I've just straightened my hair and it's raining..! VW quoted me and it was over £100 so I opted against it. Other than that the only new thing I have to add is a leaky washer jets bottle which I've left.. it leaves a nice little damp patch where ever it's been parked for a while, but doesn't leak enough to warrant me replacing it really..! As everyone else has said - I love the car style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> and all of the above adds character style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  3. My Loop is a well oiled machine.. spark plugs kept going for like 18k miles lol style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> But good thinking @ Andi. I plan on getting cambelt and whatever the other "big" stuff is due doing. @Joe - Loop gets serviced every 10k and last one in June 06 which was the 40K at 4.5years old they never mentioned that - I think it`s with all the services being out of sync as I mentioned before.. it`s all good style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  4. ...is it worth it? Having full VW service history? Let's try a poll! Loop is 1K off 50K miles, but as the services are all out of sync as the previous owner only did an interim service @ 20K before I bought him. This service is classed as the 60K one, which is sure to make my bank account cry, as it has been since I've been unemployed this last month..! 60K service is cambelt etc isn't it? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh:" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
  5. Awww.. the bike. She's a beauty! I shall be there again. @Andy: You wanna get a self erecting tent like mine style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> (no jokes here now boys!)

    My bad.. it was still like 9am at that point (on a Sunday) style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Andy applied the wax, Max did the rubbing in bit (you can tell I wax my car often, technical terms). Videos? Day or night time ones? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

    style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":coffee:" border="0" alt="coffee.gif" /> Love it- Andy & co working away whilst I watch with a brew style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Excellent pics on the other thread- keep em coming
  10. Haha! Indeed! That was my reaction after paying out nearly a grand (plus the cost of the car), however, I live in one of the nice areas of Liverpool (yes there are some! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />), and that was last years insurance- got Fluxy on the go this year to avoid such voiding, er. Actually about to call up and see about getting the BMC put on before they send out a renewal quote.
  11. Here are both my insurance quotes to show the diff in having to insure mods at a young age with no/little NCB for you.... First insurance Oct 2004-05 Car: Vw Lupo Model: Gti Year:Oct 2001 Estimated Value: 6k? Yearly Mileage: 11k Mods Declared: None (although had those listed below- called to declare them when did them and they said if I did any mod's they wouldn't insure me as under 25 :|) Points: 0 Ncb: 0 Cover Type: fully comp at my parents address (Liverpool postcode adds 500 quid straight off) Company: Churchill Price: 950 Age: 21 Renewal quote: £720 Current insurance Oct 2005-06 Mods Declared: tints & eibach springs (didn't get around to telling them about the BMC) Points: 0 Ncb: 1 Cover Type: fully comp at parents address but £450 excess Company: Adrian Flux Price: £820 Age: 22 Awaiting a my renewal quote, fingers crossed for a less style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Good luck.. make sure you ring around, but I'd give Flux a call if you've got mods, otherwise go with Churchill, Tesco, Admiral etc etc

    Hello, Well another fab year! The sun always comes out for E38- I packed (and used) my suntan cream, so no burnage over here style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> I think more injuries occured through topless campsite wrestling style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> !? Good to meet new people and of course see the ones that won't go away style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Lots of lovely cars, Lupo's and the rest.. gets bigger each year! Roll on [boss]John's party with the chicken stripper his Mum's organising style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Did all the cake get eaten, Sarah? I think I managed 3 slices, mmmmm Yum! Thanks to those who organised this all. Big up the CL bike - what a marvellous piece of machinery style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> And so the detox month begins style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":neutral:" border="0" alt="neutral.gif" />
  13. Lol! We all don't look too sloshed to say it was after 1am...! And yeh, you'd be lucky to find many straight men there! My [gay] husband was particularly 'friendly' to John style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> haha! My shoe case is full of Bournemouth beach from the stroll and live porn show we witnessed later on (NB - neither of us were involved in the show, but my gossiping sources have tracked down the filthy culprits!). Keep forgetting I have brunette hair, there's still blonde underneath! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> @ Jon Oooo, left over Easter egg, fabulous! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  14. Now then! Thanks for all the birthday wishes.. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> 22 plus one style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Yeh, I've not been around for-ever.. busy these days with moving house blah blah etc.. Anyway, I shall try and pop my head in a bit more now things have calmed down. And yes, Pizza Hut was yummy.. mmm mmm! I feel a cocktail coming on (my new years resolution of learning a new one each week (this week= Sex on the beach)), but I think a nice long island ice tea is in order to celebrate (again- I've had a birthday weekend) the day of my birth! Kx
  15. Did Hakeem's Loop get a figure then if it got off the Rollers? Looks like a good day. Though seem lower figures than what we got in Feb @ Stealth... Shall be putting mine back on the Rollers once I've put the BMC on (pre and post figures then style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />)
