  1. Luvly luvly...smart purchase there Love the colour! Got mine before I passed my test too...not great, spent the next 2 months busting to get in and drive off with no one in the passenger seat! Well done on the theory- and good luck for the test!
  2. Thanks everybody, can't quite get over the fact that I don't have to take my mum everywhere now! Love my bargain wheels, they're great Lol, don't worry, I'll be sensible!
  3. Passed my test today...finally got my freedom! Went out for a quick jaunt to get some petrol along some bumpy country roads, in the dark...and now it's all mud splattered. Niiice Damn countryside
  4. OMG I love green lupos! So funky. I think you should make the mug and coaster a permanent fixture
  5. Have finally got my new wheels on- they're Arosa S wheels from One Litre Wonder, absolutely spotless and unscratched (am going to try hard to keep them that way). They've got VW badge stickers (ebay) stuck over the Seat badges, which IMHO are quite convincing! Really pleased with them- look much smarter than the steels and have better tyres too Clutch has now been sorted (just needed adjusting, apparently there's plenty of life in it yet), so it's sooo much nicer to drive
  6. Oh dear... mine's being looked at next weekend. Got the car about a month ago (only 8k on the clock), noticed the first time I drove it that the biting point was very high & apparently the clutch is worn. I've been quoted £80 parts & labour at the moment for a new one (friend's dad's a mechanic)...maybe it'll go up once he has a look . Don't talk to me about those- I can do them fine in the car I'm learning in (new fiesta) like you say, without moving, but dread them atm in the Loop because of the worn clutch. The biting point's so high (and the biting range so short) that I keep falling short/missing it and having to brake abruptly. So embarassing...counting the days til it's fixed lol . Sorry to hijack the topic- just wanted to have a moan...
  7. Heading up the hill? I was in my mum's car coming down, pointed out to her what a GTi looks like! Very nice, never seen one in the flesh before.
  8. Thanx. Have to say I wasn't expecting such a new/well-specced one- would have been happy with a T-reg 1l, but I'm not complaining! It's an ex-Motability car so probably an old person....maybe held it on the clutch a lot/all the time? Killed was probably too blunt a term as it is still driveable, though the bite point is cramp-inducingly, knee-level-almost-with-elbow high! Will find out soon whether it needs replacing or not- concentrating on my test first
  9. Wow...love the colour and the numberplate! Colour-coding looks good
  10. Thanx, getting a little nervous now it'd getting close...
  11. Thanx, sorry to hear about your Loop. Silver is deffo a lower maintenance colour but I do like black ones. I was looking at a couple of black ones before I got this one. And the cornflower (?) blue ones, they're looovely
  12. I say newish as I actually got it at the beginning of December, but haven't been able to drive it much since then due to a) DVLA being slooow with the tax and exams! It's an '04, 1.4 S 16v, only 8k on the clock. It's my first car, I haven't got my licence yet but will be taking my test for the first time later this month... ( and ) It needs the clutch adjusting/a new clutch (not officially looked at yet) so feels a little awkward to drive atm, but hopefully will be sorted soonish...so then (licence permitting) it's all go! Can't wait! Picture quality isn't the greatest- camera phone is my only functioning camera atm unfortunately ... I haven't actually washed it since I got it, but it hasn't been far . Got it a Stoplock (Pro no less) to deter potential Luposnatchers! I've also got a set of Arosa S alloys (from One Litre Wonder), now with VW badges, to put on! Not really into/got the money for mods as you can see (insurance is bad enough as it is), but I like it the way it is. Wondered about putting a 16V badge on the grille like the Sport, but not sure about that...saw some on eBay, a habit I need to kick! Fancy some foglights but doubt that will happen. I'll get them on my next car (many years yet hopefully!) Anywho, hope you like (course you would, it's a Lupo)
  13. Good point! Looks like I shouldn't have a problem. Hehe, I'm too weak and feeble! Believe me, I tried. They've been screwed in very tight! You'll be pleased to hear that your wheels are being very well looked after- cleaned (not that they needed it) and autoglym wheel-sealed no less! But they're in the garage, not in the house. Sorry The Seat badge is still there, just stuck the new one on the top. The edges of the Seat badge were a bit recessed, so the VW badge doesn't stick out too much.
