  1. Anyone else use Yokohama S drives? I got them instead of 539s and they seem pretty good to me!
  2. Sell it and buy a faster Arosa, a sport maybe?
  3. Nice one! What engine is it? Good wheels too. I have a mini too, mine's a 1979 prepped for motorsport!
  4. Well my mate popped over the other week with his S3, which is pretty smart and I'm quite jealous! Also I've recently got a new camera so it was a ood excuse for some new pics. I've not changed anything on the car, just detailed it. Hope you like!
  5. I agree, my O.Zs are 15 inch but because thay are multispoke they look bigger!
  6. I did the whole thing with my mate in his Impreza, pretty tired today mind, there was a lot of driving! Coming out of Lanark on the Saturday morning was really moving, there were loads of people lining the roads clapping and waving. At that point there were 350 of us and we had a police escort to go through red lights and straight over junctions etc. That was pretty cool! We're in the Guinness book of records too for spelling out Colin Mcrae down the runway at Prodrive in nearly 1100 Subarus! It was quite special! Nick
  7. I've got a red arosa sport with white OZ wheels and live in Durham, when was this? I'm guessing you mean a lupo though, would be cool if there was another!
  8. Well why not just use it on the rim size it was intended for?! Well 195 is plenty enough grip for me! A nice balance between ultimate mechanical grip and handling. A mate of mine works at Pirelli in Carlisle and I showed him some pics of cars with stretched tyres and he couldn't believe people were prepared to run them like that! There has been much debate on pistonheads about this it seems... Check this out. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.a...res%20-%20Legal?
  9. Well I'd probably avoid the Nankangs then! I've got 195/45 Yokohamas on my OZs which as 6.5 inchs wide. They are being used how they were intended to be used, with no stretch! Yeah there's going to be a point where it becomes unsafe, if it isn't designed for a width of more than 7.5 I wouldn't use it for a 8 inch rim! I'd rather put a wider tyre on - more area in contact with the road - more grip! Nick
  10. Are they 15 inch? If so is 185/45 not about right? Unless that is a strange size that nobody makes? I haven't checked! I don't like the idea of stretching tyres, I wouldn't want to compromise the handling/safety of the car.
  11. Me when I'm not at work! BT can't get me broadband at home, they're good like that.
  12. Greenstuff have been very good on my Arosa. They take a lot of use before any fading!
  13. Anyone see the documentary about Graham Hill tonight? Superb, a good insight into a racing legend, can't imaggine any of the F1 drivers bein like that now! (And he wasn't a gay either )
  14. And for a car I do like... Forget the tacky Lambo, a truely gorgeous italian car! Alfa 8c
