  1. Audi have a massive infulence over porsche, Its my job to know this. We have a weekly automotive news paper which details who is who. Who all the CEO, Directors and board members are. I thought that at first when i read it.
  2. Picking up a Arosa tomorrow for the girlfriend, 2003 gun metal gray TDI. 45k miles, one owner proper mint example. buying from a Ford dealship and due to cars sale being ***** around Christmas time (no one wants to buy cars at this time of the year) got it a right snip..............was £3995 got it for £3500 cash. Was just blunt with him and he said yes after a bit of sales banter. Really looking forward to getting it. will get some pics up soon. Joe & Amy
  3. arosa's are bulit buy the exactly same company as it falls within the VAG. Seat are made for the masses and are slightly cheap and imperior, but you also get more for your money. Hence the reason why VW/Seat do not have a V8 or V10 sports car as this would be in to much compitition with the Audi V8 and V10 S-series cars. Skoda, Seat, Audi, VW are all the same company, different marketing and different badges to capture a wider market. Bentley/Lambo and even porsche are all on the same pay role as the VW group to. So buying a Arosa over a Lupo.......same car, slighlty cheaper, but still money in their pocket.
  4. well we live in the leics, area, so if anyone reading this can assist, got software i can use then please let me know. There will be a few drinks in it for you! Thanks
  5. looks like Amy might be swaying to the seat TDI, which is good i suppose, what extras do you get in the set over the Lupo? looking to get a black or silver one, so if anyone knows who is getting rid, please let me know ASAP. Again, thanks for all your help.
  6. thanks for all this advise, the car is going to be a change for my gf, i drive the car mostly at weekends, but she does about 250+ miles per week, not really that bothered regarding power, plus depending on what we get for the sport will determin what we get i suppose. Agreed i would much perfer the TDI as would Amy, but its just if we find one with half decent miles/condition etc.... We are willing to swap the good condition, low miler sport for a not as good, higher miler TDI, Black or silver.....so if anyone hears please PM me etc.... Big thanks on this guys, mpg is prob most important, but at the same time i think she will be slightly desapointed with the power drop.
  7. I know that the TDI is more sporty and desirable, but economy wise what is better, mpg, miles per tank, cost to fill up etc. Obviously ythe SDI is cheaper to buy than the TDI, but this means we can pick up a low miler and slightly better condition. What are the pro's and con's? please advise. we are going from a 1.4 16v sport to a diesel, due to the miles my gf drives, she obviously wants a TDI but can not find one in our price range with ok miles. what are people thoughts on this? cheers
  8. where can i get a check done, local garage? how much will it cost?
  9. cool, thanks for your help. from previous experiences this can cause the eng management light to flicker, so hopefully this will cure it.

    Help

Does the lupo have a coilpack? if so is it easy to change? if not then please shed some light as to why the engine management light would come on and off on a irregular basis, engine, performance etc are all the same and nothing i can put my fingure on. do i need to run a VAG com check? how much does this cost at a garage? Thanks
  11. Hi, New on here, logged on to find a decent lupo tdi for my girlfriend, so if you know of any, please pm me. Other than that, hello and hope your all well. My girlfriend Amy has got a black lupo 1.4 16v sport, on which every now and again has a little light flash on the dash, i think its the engine management light, and have a feeling its the coil psck on its way out (if it has one) as this has happened to another car i have own.......put me right if i am wrong tho. Its going in for its MOT tomorrow so hopefully get a VAGcom check so can find out what it exactly is. This lupo might actually be up for sale soon as well, with a full MOT, if we can find a black/silver TDI for aboutthe same value. try not to laugh, but im a (not very) proud owner of a rover 216......coupe tomcat!!!!!!! it does the job tho, paid £425 for it and it is in pretty mint condition tbh. I will be joining the VAG world soon though with a golf tdi pd 150 or the same but the 25th anniversary edt. Im not a stranger to VW's/VAG tho as Golfs are pretty much my fav cars, MK1's mostly tho. Very impressed with the lupo's tho, really nippy and really comfy to drive short/long distance. The GTI are pretty cool, but the 1.4 16v sport is a good sub i think.
