I always do wonder why people buy cars then sell them again so soon... less than three years is usually finance. Less than five years is babies. Up to 15 years, the car has truly been loved, but usually is beginning to cause headaches. Over 15, true enthusiast.

I wanted to keep it, but there’s no space for it to be kept, I can’t afford to keep two cars on the road and have bought myself a car that moves faster and I prefer. I’d personally rather have someone give it the love that I no longer can.

  2. Near Swindon-

For sale is my beloved 2001 Volkswagen Lupo 1.4S. It has just over 130,000miles on the clock. I’ve had this car for just under a year and absolutely adore it. I’m incredibly sad to see it go. I’m only selling this as I have just bought an Audi and have no space to park this, otherwise I’d be keeping it for much longer. Includes a 12 MONTH MOT.

Don’t expect a perfect car but it’s a great example for its age.

Any further questions please ask through message.

It’s advertised elswhere, so reserve the right to remove. Looking for around £675 ONO

  4. I haven’t really done much to the Lupo for a while, still no further with the steering wheel just yet. Added a few more stickers to the back and managed to pick myself up some Cambridge Lights for a good price. Still not sure which lights I prefer the look of on the car at the moment, but really not the most difficult of things to change about.

Either way I’m happy to say I now own a pair of Cambridge lights.

Wood rim wheel is a brave choice.

Never seen a 5 bolt wheel. The majority of aftermarket wheels tend to be 6 bolt. very likely you are going to struggle for a boss, probably brand specific or you will have to re-drill a 6 hole boss - but that is potentially weakening the boss.

I know mate, but why not! And yeah that’s what I was finding difficult about it, the fact it has 5 holes. I think re-drilling is going to have to be the way forward, will most-likely drill holes in the wheel. Can’t seem to find a 5 hole boss!

  6. I’ve got myself an after market Steering wheel lined up as a purchase from my brother, I just need to find out how I would install it in my Lupo before buying it?

Can anyone suggest a good boss to use or something?

First photo is front, second is rear

  7. Bought myself some centre caps from eBay, they aren’t the original trantula centre caps but I personally prefer them. I broke one of them up pretty badly as they fit super tight so have ordered another set to have them all the way round. Will probably find another use for the broken one. Definitely need to give the wheels a good tidy up at some point when I have the spare P.  They’ve been kerbed to hell since I first bought them, gladly, I’ve yet to contribute to the kerbing myself... 8. So the doorcards have been in this state for the past few weeks after I removed them for my brother to paint the handle and switch holders, after he finally got round to doing it, this is how they turned out!78824B28-7A8D-4637-8EAD-268C5392AB35.jpeg

I was tempted to re-upholster the doorcards in a cream leather or something similar but decided against it after reading how so many people regretted changing their doorcards too much!
