  1. Anyone ever fitted a single wiper kit to a Loop or an Arosa, many years ago these were available to fit into Mk2 Golfs which solved the problem of the left hand sweep in the early cars, when I scrapped my Golf I swapped it to my Mk 2 Sirocco where it was also a perfect fit, sadly that car is gone too but I've always seen the single wiper as a cleaner design and it was quite fashionable to park the wiper in the centre Touring car style.
  2. cat cleaner in the tank and a 30 mile run before the test
  3. With a re map and it will embarrass a Lupo GTI
  4. Seat Arosa 1.4 TDI not Volkswagen Lupo TDI tdi | eBay, low miles should be saved
  5. Lots of nice modifications, well done, but I'd have started with a TDI rather than the petrol GTI model
  6. plus there can be considerable contribution of carbon neutral vegetable oils in their production
  7. They were prompted because of diesel fuel consumption being far lower than that of petrol and the consequent reductions in CO2, these reductions were far more important in terms of climate change than NOX emissions. All the European car manufactures decided to take the pish though.
  8. these are all still relatively new cars, don't brag about this till they are 20 years old
  9. Air quality in the 1950's was immensely worse in British cities than it is today, NOx quickly turn into acids that can become smog's but never on the scale of the past.
  10. this is true either the TDI or the SDI can manage 70mpg if driven gently
  11. I would go for the manual gearbox and a remap, a remap on its own might overwhelm the auto box
  12. I'm not surprised the Up, and its derivatives show no improvement on the Lupo/Arosa and without diesel models they show little variety
  13. Yes for the gear box and remap
  14. Mine is a 1.4 tdi on a rebuilt gear box and has done 20k miles since a remap which pushed the bhp to between 100 and 110, big miles overall now as it is approaching 180k, but still as fast and as fuel efficient as ever
