  1. Opens perfectly fine from the outside. Even opens from the inside when the door isnt shut fully. However when the door is shut the door wont open from the inside. Door cards off and cables now loose. What on earth could it be? There's plenty of fixes when it wont open from both inside and out. My heads about to burn out :/
  2. An advisory on its last mot was corroded rears. Tbh they don't look that bad visually but I'm no mechanic. Are there any kits I can purchase, a google shows nothing. If taken to an independent garage, what am I looking at time wise to get some pipes made up, fitted and brakes bled? So I can guage labour cost really. Thanks in advance.
  3. Christ that's a bigger job then I thought. I've manage to get some more play out the knob, it now selects the footwell position. Met by a fair bit of resistance after that. In all honesty a dash out scenario is above what I dare attempt.
  4. Fixed drivers side with classic circut board cleaning trick. However it intermittently struggles to go back up so I'll research further on that. Passenger side still no joy, possibly need a new motor but will get some grease on mechanisms and troubleshoot more.
  5. Can anbody help, the far right dial sticks on the windsceen heater. It doesn't click over to any other position. Not great in winter
  6. I'm one to keep an eye out for parts in case certain things go. Ive seen a few reasonably priced gearboxes localish to me. What code/type am I looking for or how do I find out? Thanks in advance.
  7. Just bought what I believe to be a mechanically sound tdi for a reasonable sum. However theres a few niggles. My question is, the passenger side window doesn't work at all although there is a faint noise. Possible motor issue? The drivers side works but you've to spend a minute pushing the button for it to go down, however it has no problems going up. With summer coming it would be a great help if any fellow forumers could suggest fixes or possible elimination techniques.
