  1. Thanks so much, guys! Turns out it was the coil pack and HT leads The car had gone in to limp mode (?) so the guy had to redo the ECU as well But she's back up and running again now and is running great!!! Thanks so much for all of your help!! I really appreciate it!! Em x
  2. Brilliant! Thanks, guys! I'll keep you posted as to how we get on!
  3. Thank you!! Where can I get leads or a coil pack from? Do they have to be a particular make?? Thanks again guys! Appreciate it! Em
  4. Hi! I haven't been on the forum since forever ago! I can't get on forums at my new workplace (which is a bit of a bummer!), so I don't have much time for t'interweb anymore I will try and get on more, though because I miss this forum!! I have a bit of a problem with my car. It's an '05 Lupo 1.0 SE with just under 15,000 miles and it appears to be misfiring and the power isn't there when I accelerate to move off. It kind of goes, then drags, then goes again. I really don't know how to describe it. And last week the revs dropped to nearly nothing and I had to keep the revs high to keep the car moving and it was making a knocking noise and the car itself was shaking! I had her serviced in March and was told she would be having a full service; my partner checked the spark plugs (as he initially thought this was the problem) and they were black. I phoned the VW garage and they said the service I had paid £180 for was just an oil and filter change, and if I'd wanted the spark plugs changing I would be expected to pay in excess of £235. I was not a happy bunny. My partner cleaned up the spark plugs and he said that it didn't look as though they had ever been changed since I bought the car (July 2006). Put the plugs back and she does run a little bit better, but not a lot so he's going to change the HT leads next. The check engine light is on as well Does anyone have any other ideas as to what it might be? I'm not driving it at the minute until I know what's definitely wrong with it, because I am a bit of a wimp and if it stopped at the traffic lights or something I would just die! So luckily I have my motorbike to keep me mobile for the time being If anyone could offer some help and advice I would be very, very appreciative!! HUGE thank you's in advance!! Em xx

  7. Hi!! How are you all today? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I've read on several posts here that people have Aero wipers on their Lupos, and I have no idea what they are!! Could someone please explain them to me or show me a picture? Ta muchly! Em x
  8. I like!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />
  9. I haven't had them done yet, but they are being done next Friday! The place that's doing them are charging me £90 for the three rear windows (not having the front ones done), which I think is pretty decent! Not sure how dark I'm going yet, but I was told you can go as dark as you like on the rear windows and it's all perfectly legal & will pass its MOT style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> I'll take photos after I've had them done style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Em x
  10. Hi! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I've found my dream job - I work as an admin assistant for the local college and I absolutely LOVE it!! I was training for a job in Advertising and Business Media (Marketing, etc) but I hated the course and failed the second year! But I found my perfect job on my GCSE's and A Levels alone and it couldn't be any different from what I was training to do! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I wouldn't know anything about being a police officer, though I'm afraid!! Good luck with whatever you decide to do style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" /> Em x
  11. Love it!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbup.gif" /> Em x
  12. Welcome! Another girlie owner!! Ace! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wave.gif" /> Em x
  13. Awww! Thanks for all the comments, guys! @Jon_273 - they're 14"! I wanted VW alloys, and I liked those the most so I got them! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="eek.gif" /> @LOOPTY-LUPO - the Escort is my fella's car! It's really nice, but he's selling it!! He's had it nearly two years now but wants something bigger to take his dogs around in style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I'm having the windows tinted next Friday! I can't wait! She's also booked in to VW to have the CD player looked at... because I smiled and asked politely if I could have a VW CD player when I bought the car, the garage said yes, they fitted it and all was good for a while, but for some reason when I get in the car and start her up (it happens more often than not) the CD player will light up as if it's ready to go, but it simply won't play! I have to either switch it off or change to FM, then back to CD to make it work, but sometimes that doesn't even make it work! She was in the other week because they thought there might have been something wrong with the radio/cassette part so they changed it, but it's still happening so they're changing the actual CD player this time! Luckily the CD player's still under warranty!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbsup.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky:" border="0" alt="cheeky.gif" /> Em x

    Air con...

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing really well today style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" /> Just a quickie - can you have air con added to a Lupo that doesn't already have it? If so, how much do you reckon it'll cost? Thanks guys! Em x
