  1. put service light in the search feature and you will see how to get rid of it!
  2. could you work in the building society mon-fri and then one day of the week-end at the shop to buy time until you decide which way to go in the future? I would go for the building society for the long term as there'll come a day when you want to buy property and where better place to be working than a building society!!
  3. Hi sounds like your describing my car exactly, I had the pedal box done in January and think it's ok now but my husband and son always complain when they drive my car and my husband in particular complains that it's easy to stall. My men are used to driving cars with very light clutches and close-ratio gears so I think it's just a culture change when they drive the Lupo!! Although even I would like the clutch to be lighter and the gears a bit less crunchy!!!!!
  4. My 1.4S is going in for a service/MOT on wednesday, checked with the mechanic when booking it in and he looked up his book and said the cambelt doesn't need changing till 60K miles, my car has 35K on the clock and is 5 years old!
  5. Cheers for the recommendation, a wee bit late for me as my car is booked in for a MOT and possible service next week at a small local garage. Probably would have considered your recommendation as I'm not entirely happy with the clutch/gears since the garage I bought my car from last August replaced the pedal box in December, but as it runs ok i'll live with it for the time being.
  6. local garage charges £35 so I know the're a bit more expensive but how much more expensive are they with the service? is it worth the extra just to have a main dealer do the same work?
  7. Just got a quote from main dealer for a full service £285 or a lesser service £185 MOT will be another £50 on top, have to find out from garage where I bought the car what they did when they last serviced it as they only stamped the service book and didn't tick the boxes, suspect they never did anything so will need a full service, is the price quoted reasonable or should I try elsewhere!
  8. Hi my MOT is due in April and as I have had my Lupo since last August I think it needs a full service as well, I was wondering if it's best to go to a main dealer or if my usual small garage would do just as good a job on it and probably cost a lot less!! The garage I bought it from replaced the pedal box as it failed within 3 months of me getting the car, but I think the gears and clutch could be a lot smoother and thought I should probablyput it to the main dealer, what do other members recommend?
