Hi, just to update. Had cleared the codes, drove for a couple of days and rescanned. Misfire codes showed again as did the coolant fault. So I took the advise and changed out coil, leads and plugs this evening. The plugs were in bad nick. My local motor factors didn't have the coolant sensor in stock so it will be done in the next couple of days. Cheers, Davyjp.

Hi, looking for some advise. Sons Lupo has been running grand, apart from today when check engine light came on. Have done a scan and the following codes have come up; 01: Engine. 1. 17978 - P1570 Engine start blocked by immobilizer intermittent. 2. 17584 - p1176 Lambda behind catalyst control limit reached. 3. 16684 - p0300 Random/Multiple misfires detected, intermittent. 4. 16684 - p0301 Cylinder 1 misfire detected, intermittent. 17: Instruments. 1. 01039 Coolant temperature sensor (G2) Open or Short to Plus intermittent. 25: Immobilizer. 1. 01176 Key Unauthorized intermittent. Again, any advise as what to be checking or replacing, greatly received. Cheers, Davyjp.

hi, tried to log on at about 21:40 via ios 8 on a ipad mini2, kept getting redirected to wards app store and some other less desirable web sites. was working grand around 16:00 this afternoon as I had read this posting, now I'm getting spammed at every turn.

Hi Dblock, don't have vagcom, using the app on my phone the values are bank 1 sensor 1 no reading, bank 1 sensor 2 0.485v. I know that the elm327 and app are working as I have used it on my own car(Nissan) and can see the values for both sensors. The fault shown is p0141: HEATER CIRCUIT(P) as read on app. Thanks davyjp Notmylupo.

How do, is sensor 1 precat or post cat. Have replaced the 5 wire lambda(precat), but still having fault. Using an elm327 blue tooth with diagnose your car(windows phone) sensor 1 does not show up. Have I it wrong is sensor 1 post cat. 1.0e 2002 Lupo. Cheers, davyjp Notmylupo

Hi, I think the part number is 030906262J (VW part number), it's 5 wire with a 6pin connector. I may stand corrected. Have just ordered 1 from local motor factors piggin £73+vat. davyjp.

Hello all, My son has just bought a 1.0e 2002 Lupo. He is 18, own insurance, L licence. Loads of info on site, currently have a p0404 egr fault showing. We are fitting a different egr in the next few days so hope this works. I'm loving the look of the the de bump strip Lupo's, very clean looking. At the moment car is standard.
