  1. Hi cj1 This is where I wasnt entirely sure. The pipe where the tip of my screwdriver one is the one that I have removed
  2. Thanks for reply, plugs were bone dry with slight signs of white powder on them but not loads. WIll see if I can borrow a tester. Will also check for fuel pump noise, i havnt tried the cam sensor. THe pipe into the Injector rail had arrow on going into the rail so it must be the correct one I would think. I just didnt know whether if disconnected it would still pull through or not
  3. Fault codes are longstanding ones pne is EGR and the other is a misfire on each cylinder. I would have to plug in at weekend to get them again
  4. Hi all. Posted on here about intermittent non start and now complete non start. Anyway, today I committed cardinal sin of easy start just to see if it was firing. It would start then cut out which made me think fuel. So I took what I think is fuel line into injectors and off and cranked and nothing. Could you guys confirm if this is fuel in? And the fact no fuel comes out when I crank would be an indicator of the problem? It's a 1.0 mpi
  5. Hi All So the Mrs beloved Lupo 1.0E has lately decided every now and then to not start. A bit of background, when we bought it two years ago EML light was on which flagged up EGR Valve, Typically our engine model was the one that at the time, cheapest EGR was about £280 I found one at a breakers yard, and fitted it but it didnt fix the light issue. Engine seemed to run fine and has ever since so I left it as it was. So recently, it has been deciding not to start sometimes, and I cant see a correlation between cold engine or warm engine. Anyway I tried a new coolant sensor as easy and cheap and seen this issue before but no good, 5 days later it decided not to start. I plugged the car in and along with EGR code it came up with missfire codes on every cylinder. But i know this could be linked to EGR. So I just decided to check a few basics, water level fine, Checked Filler cap and there is some gunk in there but not loads, Dipstick and oil level fine and looks fairly clean. .. Spark plugs however had a fair bit of white/cream coloured powder on them. Cant remember if ive ever changed them. So hoping for some suggestions, where I am: 1. Could EGR alone cause non start issue? 2. Could Coil Pack be faulty 3. Is there likely HGF I dont want to throw silly money after it, just dont get why its intermittent. Bloody cars eh!
  6. Hi guys an update due to only just coming back to the problem! The car has covered exactly 100k. Went through MOT and tracked. I put a new O/S bottom arm on and the front bush feels like it has a bit of play in, more than the original on the N/S but its not massive play and I cant image it would cause this much to the steering. When you put your foot down there is a real strong torque steer to the left, and At 60mph a small twitch on the steering wheel really throws the car about and if u got the otherway you could almost lose control, thats how bad it is. Everything seems OK, went through MOT and been tracked. Had the car on a 2 poster and it felt like a bit of play in offside upto shock, but obviously the wheels were not grounded so not sure if that was a good test, maybe strut tops? Engine mountings feel ok, maybe a tiny bit of movement in O/S top but not bad Really confused with this one
  7. Hi Guys Hoping for some help, my mrs' 1.0 e has quite bad torque steer to left when u press throttle hard, as soon as you ease off it almost kicks front end back to the right. Also if your going 50+ and just touch the steering wheel slightly to left or right it is real twitchy on the front as if its too positive! It has had wheels balanced, new bottom arm and tracking done, any ideas? Thanks
  8. UPDATE I noticed with wipers, when the stalk is set to the bottom, both front and rear go off. When the stalk is moved one notch up, then front is fine yet the rear still goes off every 20 secs or so. Does anybody have any ideas.
  9. Go to AliExpress and search Delphi Autocom You need a Laptop, but it is a quality bit of kit for about £35 posted. Basically a Ripped version of Delphi Autocom, Does a lot more than just reading codes
  10. Hi All, I have just joined the Lupo Club, well sort of... I bought it for the mrs' first car! Anyway, I bought it (1.0E) with 100k exactly on, FSH And in decent nick.I knew it needed a couple of bits for MOT, Tyres and Bottom Arm (Offside) So I found a set of Lupo Alloys on eBay, refurbed them and stuck those on because it came with decent tyres, changed arm. Changed EGR Valve (Typical the AUC engine is the costliest valve!!) Noticed a couple of early problems. 1. Rear Wiper staying on (I cant remember this when I first picked it up) Some posts ive seen say the stalk, some say water in motor? 2. Steering Wheel points to right when wheels aligned, and it feels lighter steering to the right. Could this be simple as a tracking problem, or could it be something to do with the column? (Please no!) 3. Doesnt buzz with doors open and lights on, I saw this in the common faults thread but couldnt see a fix? Apart from that, apart from making sure she remembers to lock each door and tailgate seperately (Pain!!) Its a lovely little car and she loves it! Any help with the above would be grately appreciated
