Is that a 6 speed gti gear knob?

Hello, I recently took my 2004 lupo gti to the garage because I thought the suspension/handling was a little off. My steeling wheel has some play before the wheels move and the steering wheel is off centered when driving straight. They said I need a n/s steering tie rod and drop links Including rubbers. But they cannot source the tie rod. VW have a back order? Does anyone know where I can get one from and the measurements? Also the size of the drop links and rubbers? As they come in different sizes. 18/20mm? I also read it was easyish to fit, so I may try myself. Thanks for any help!
