  1. I'm sure mine is 60mm from the centre of the wheel to arches. (tdi) I've just had a set of eibach spring's from a german ebay seller to lower it 30mm just to reduce the scary body roll. I'm considering bilstien b4s and do it in one hit.
  2. So, the bolts popped out and the straps gone in the door? You can put a screwdriver in the hole and pull the strap back out to meet the post the bolt fell out. If it needs replacing, you need to take the bottom trim off where the speaker lives undo the two 8 or 10mm bolts feed the strap out. Refit is opposite to removal.
  3. With some custom mountings the front shouldn't be a problem. As for the rear, who knows? It would depend of the heights, widths and depths of the bench. Even then it is gonna have to have fabricated mountings. Mk1 tt seats are a safer and more popular option for a cheap leathered lupo. Search for it on here. The rest of the trim won't fit from either cars.

    Help!

Be sure to use a Plastic filler. Glass fibre and/or regular filler will crack all day long.
  5. Welcome, and a very wise choice. The lupo is a great VW for a first car. I had to travel a good few miles to buy mine. Auto trader is always a good place to go. There is plenty of subjects covered on what to and what not to do on a lupo. Enjoy.
  6. You can get a knob and gaiter combo off eBay for about £15 new genuine item. I got one for mine. I think its leather knob with a vinyl boot. Comfier than the standard lupo item You just lift up the gaiter to find a metal clip, snap it off with pliers pull knob up and it's done Fit new one and squeeze the new clip tight. No need to replace the stick.
  7. Are these collection only? Nor interested in the front. Thankyou, Craig.
  8. I changed the temp sensor. It didn't work for me. Brain didn't digest the buzzing and starting issue. Yeah, it would go on a bump start or when the engine had been cooled down. Starter motor wad only 18months old too.
  9. I used to have this problem with my 205 gti. The inlet manifold would heat up the solenoid on the starter motor. Pain in the neck in the warmer months. I believe the mk3 golfs do it. I can't say that this is a certainty on your car. I did replace the starter and it was fine.
  10. So,rather than investing in a golf 5-6 wheel I thought I'd be different (tight) and buy a dune wheel and bag. Seems an easy fit. Fit slip ring and 4 wires. But having a think about it i started to wonder about the compatibility of the airbag with the Lupo's airbag module. Im thinking that if the codes are different will it cause the light to stay on forever? Do I need a matching airbag and module or do I just use a resistor mod and do away with a operational airbag? Thankyous in advance, Craig
  11. Plenty of people have done it. I believe that it is called staggered fitment. I'm planning on doing it to my lupo. Search staggered fitment on here or google. There is/was a blue and a Black lupo running dare rs 7 front and 8 rears.these are very similar to your wheels.
  12. Tidy. Modern paint has a good tolerance to cut back imperfections, and with measuring devices available all should be hunky-dory. A good body shop could get your bumper painted overnight if it came to it. Fascinating story of your car's progress so far and very inspiring. The best bit is when you get near the end only to find that you haven't sold it....
  13. You going to be doin it yourself? Or a paint rectification person. As we are all aware your pretty ace at building cars and don't need much advice from someone like me, but try a small area first. Attack the larger spots first, it may burst through exposing the primer, then again they may go perfectly.
  14. Can't see jazz blue :-( I'll order a black one after UD please, thankyou.
