I've done the air filters [2] the ones coming off were clean, I like the idea of an Italian tune up too, its worked before with 1.4's that have failed on emissions, thanks guys

My daughters 1 litre has just failed its MOT on emissions, she's had it a year but its only ever been used for short journeys, to and from work, 5 miles morning and evening, the testers said the readings were erratic, nearly there but then wandering off. I plan an engine service, air filters, oil change and that old standby a large dose of cat cleaner. The car is too good to be written off interior and body [black] are both very good, mileage is quite high for a 2002 car at 129k but it has been looked after, is anything else I should be looking at? As the value of the car is low I don't want to spend much on getting it fixed.

Black isn't good in this weather, silver is best to reflect the sunlight

the auto box on the petrol 1.4 only has 4 gears

If you can locate one, I'd chose a wind up window regulator over the electric version, these are a problem on both Lupo's and Arosa's. I know it won't fit in with the style of a GTI but if you want an easy life...keep it simple

I have a 2nd hand box that should be ok for a 75bhp unit, I sold the car before I got round to fitting it , pm me

correct, the 1 litre is an all alloy unit and much lighter than say the TDi

You need a boss kit to fit it to, [plenty on ebay] then you can bolt it in place of the existing wheel, there are YouTube vids of how to take the old one off, bear in mind you lose your airbag

Just put my spare Arosa TDI on gumtree if anyone's interested, it runs well, only issues are cosmetic and are fixable https://www.gumtree.com/p/seat/seat-arosa-tdi/1299756693

get some black waxoyl on the rear beam and the front sub frame, as much as you like

Hi, is it straightforward to swap Arosa lights to a Lupo, or are there adaptations to be made, I'm thinking of the Mk2 Arosa lights onto a 2001 TDI Lupo Sport

Arosa rear lights?

I've bid on a pair with black surrounds as opposed to red, if I get those for circa £30 I'll be happy, so that's what I'd like to pay

I need a nsr light cluster like this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAGNETI-MARELLI-Combination-Rearlight-Seat-Arosa-6H-1997-2004-Hatchback/132464566071?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160727114228%26meid%3D8c17effcc63445748e0200336c807c69%26pid%3D100290%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D132464566071%26itm%3D132464566071&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507 but I don't want to pay the price being asked, which I think is ridiculous
