well depends what you want to use the car for tbh? could go with a false floor to flatten out the rear seats and boot? havent really been a fan of the smoked light. cambridge lights are so nice. just waiting for the gearbox to be done on mine so i can start the modding

we spoke to VW and they said the 02/03 lupos have well know gear box problems like that but they are not willing to fix them!

ive had that problem with 5th and 6th gear turns out someone before my ownership of the car forgot to put the cap back on the 5th and 6th gear so it was leaking oil

stupid question.... probably.. the light switch from the 2012 polo, it had 2 fog light switches.. i take it, it still connects up the same but the second one just doesnt work?

right on the gear box, the end which is not connected to the engine, is there supposed to be a cover on the end of the gearbox which is way from the engine?

Anyone know a place where i can get completely custom made rims?

small update.... Gear box has been done..... Not quite. spoke to a friend who currently works at VW he has informed me that the 2003 lupo gti develop a loud gear box. it is a common fault and is nothing to worry about. this is good so that will be £600 to spend on other things. still havent got the car in my possession as im in southampton and car is in norfolk. i will be driving it down one sunday so if people are up for it could do a mini meet at somewhere like south mimms on the m25?

yeah and found that on the passenger door they had too and just glued it back on. *face palm* while you here are the wing mirrors on gti's different sizes?

this has been fixed now thank you. it was due to the drivers nipple being stuck not allowing it to raise up. Also got the boot central locking to work aswell with it...... weird

just wondering how much people would be willing to pay for a set of these? brand new low profile tryes?

oh right ok thank you. ill have a go at getting a battery for the key first...... but i noticed something while i was working on the car earlier.... when both doors are open and i lock the drivers door both lock... but when i try to open you need the passenger nipple thing move around but not go up?

Right ok thank you. if i have to get new lock mechanisms will i have to change the key barrel from current to new mechs?

Yeah it does have central locking. When I press the buttons on the key it doesn't open. When I turn the key in the passengers door it opens both doors. When I turn the key in drivers door it only opens drivers door...

Right heres the situation. My central locking doesnt work and the buttons on my key dont either. So.... My question if i change the central locking in both doors, will i need to change the barrels from my original ones? Or is there more stuff that has to be changed if i do that? Thanks Reedo

yeah there is the usual stone chips and that for an 11 year old car. bits of paint coming off around the edge of the door think thats because someone tried taking the drivers door off and lost the original pin, so it doesnt quite line up perfect. plus the massive bang when you open the door. yeah man its taken a loong time! still getting a few parts resprayed. probably the whole front end and the doors.......... **** it might aswell get it all done while im there if im doing that much ahaha. cheers man
