  1. Do I actually need an 065 though or could I use something else? If I use something else would it cause problems?
  2. That link doesnt work for me... Sorry, but i think you can put in almost any battery as long as it has also 12v and similar other specs, or am i wrong? My main concern was just if a 190mm high battery would fit since my old one was 175mm.
  3. Mine was 175mm high. I assume you measure with the handle folded down? What should have a 3 digit code on it? Does anyone have a batterie with a 190mm (19cm) height? So I know if it fits
  4. Oh, and the Banner Starting Bull I could also get is 12v 44ah 360a, and I know it fits. But is it powerful enough? Problem is I already bought it, but brought it back because on the passenger side the electric windows and locks didn't work. Should I go buy it back or get the Varta?
  5. Okay, my battery is dead. I need a new one obviously. I live in Germany and I've heard the best brands are Varta or Banner Starting Bull. I have found a Varta for a good price, it's a 12v 52ah 470a. Does that output work with a 1.4 16v 75ps? I also have electric windows and AC. Also, it's 207x175x190. The old battery was 175mm high and this one is 190...would it fit? Thanks again.
  6. Thanks. Im still deciding what im gonna do when it comes to the rims. Im leaning on keeping the BBS at this point. Another question, what do you guys think about the typical 50Euro Lowering Springs off of ebay? Has anyone used them? The most important question is, are they safe? Also, wgat does a shop usually charge to put them in? And for those who have used 40 or 60mm springs, what kind of clearance do you have off the ground afterwards? And would a raid air filter (stock exhaust) change the sound of my Lupo noticeably?
  7. Thanks! Do you think the BBS I have now have too big of a sidewall or are they alright? Ill also be lowering the Lupo eventually so I guess that could hide it a bit too. And what do you think of the Blue-Gold scheme im thinkin about? Havent seen any other like that so Im not sure on it yet.
  8. Done quite a bit of cosmetic work, no performance yet though. Xenons, Removed bump strips, put aftermarket grille in with half moon (though I think I might put the original back), put BBS 14" rims on, polished light scratches out of doors and tailgate. Next steps: -Tint windows -Paint Grille blue with Gold VW Badge, also Rear badge Gold -Raid air intake -Paint BBS' s Gold -40mm Lowering Springs -40mm tires (smaller sidewall) -New Tailgate (tried to repaint it myself because of some scratches and screwed it up a bit. Cheaper to get a new one than to get it professionally repainted here.) -New front bumper (Faded a bit) -Paint lower parts of front and rear bumpers Blue -Install GTI taillights -Remove center exhaust silencer -Install spoiler and shorter aerial Alot of work still to do, but its a nice project and im enjoying it so far.
  9. What do you guys think of my BBS' s? Are they ok or do they look silly? Hows my Lupo in general look? Dont know what to do with my grille...thinkin im gonna paint the inside of the rims gold, then put the original grille back on, paint it blue with the VW logo gold...what do you guys think?
  10. This is what I have on now: (BBS 14") And this is what I want, but I cant decide which one. The deep dish ones are 16x9's and the non-deep dish ones are 15x7's. Or should I keep the BBS' s? I think I like the Borbets more but its a tough decision.
  11. Why wouldnt they look good? Would the ride height look too high or something? All ive found are deep dish 16x9's or non-deep dish 15x7's, which would you recommend? And what arr Remotec? Thanks for the help.
  12. Hi, my Lupo is not lowered at all. Stock springs, would 16x9 Borbet Type A's fit on both the front and back or would it be a problem? They come with 40mm tires (sidewall). Also, I found some other Borbet's, 15x7, but theyre not "deep dish". Dont really care if theyre "real" or not, but how do the non-deep dish ones look? My car is Jazz Blue, im thinking I want to paint the central 5-spoke part gold and leave the outside ring silver...
  13. Is it even possible to do it without a spring compressor?
  14. Could someone write me a walkthrough of how to do it without a Spring compressor on a 1.4 16v Lupo? Doesn't have to be too detailed, just gimlet the basics and I can figure it out.
