I'm replacing my catalytic converter however the OD of the new cat is ~50mm and the centre silencer is ~43mm. What's the best way of joining these (that doesn't include baked bean cans Skezza!)

I'm about to change my cat, the old one has a post cat lambda sensor however the new one has a pre cat lambda sensor. Will this cause a problem? If so my plan is to move the threaded lambda sensor hole

Current cat has two sensors fitted one at the manifold one at the rear of the cat new genuine one only has the front one - no rear connection

Yeah the current (original) one has a rear lambda sensor fitted.

I've had to replace my cat as it has failed. The replacement (genuine new vag part) has a small cut out in the heat shield where the lambda looks to go, but there is no opening on the cat itself, just a smooth metal surface - is this normal? Will I need to drill and tap to fit it?

It's certainly not great in snow, that I have noticed!

Interesting you say this skezza, it's the one feature on the car that I wouldn't be without, and the reason I bought this particular lupo. Have you noticed a problem with the abs system?

Mine's a 2002 with ABS - seems to be a very rare option indeed!

Problem is skezza, there are only two options - total garbage that lasts 6 months and costs around £60, or a decent one that will last and be OEM quality for £30 more, it's a total non brainer........ if you ask me
