I remember seeinng this car sometime last year when i was at a trackday at Donnington, should have some pictures of it actually. I remember chatting to the bloke about how he got the power from the 1.6 unit. It was very quick and sounded absolute amazing. I believe it also competed in the VW Racing Cup.

I used to have a 6-speed GTI and now own a vRS. As people have mentioned the characteristics of the engines are like chalk and cheese, in a drag i reckon the Loop would edge it where as the Skud is all about mid-range hoof! Must admit, i miss my GTI like mad :-( Have to keep reminding myself of the 47mpg!

I paid £30 for 4 fitted, balanced and new valves ... tyres supplied by myself on my old GTI. Ring round a few local tyre fitters and aim around that for a ballpark figure.

I paid £30 to fit my Toyo's when upgrading from the Dunflops! That was to fit all 4, balanced, new valves and disposal of 2.

You should be able to get a 51/02, 6 speed for around that sort of price. If aircon is a must then you might have to wait around a bit longer for the right car to come up! Good luck style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I remember reading something about having to re-train it. If you wind it all the way up and down a few times i think it remembers too itself thats its on-touch! I could be talking complete garbage tho style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

There is no 192 ... the 182 Trophy has just been announced as well as the Mk3 Clio. There's no MK3 RenaultSport clio until next year though.

I made the swith from Dunflops to Toyo's recently .... would definatley recommend it. Mine were £49 each from MyTyres, they're not listed at the minute, but they do come and go all the time. I think its just a matter of checking the stock every now & then!
